When is this planned to release? Is this confirmed.
How is HTC new design?
AnonD-512190, 08 Mar 2016your opinion is based on a 5 years old phone ?Z5 has been released just half a year ago.
NeonHD, 21 Jan 2016I will continue screaming over Sony until those HTC fanboys stop screaming.I'm not an HTC fanboy. My last HTC phone was HTC Desire 5 years ago. Wasn't much satisfied with it back then, mainly due to lack of true multi-touch and lack of space for apps. And i don't much want HTC again.
regs, 21 Jan 2016Can't you just stop screaming fanatic stuff and read what other says.I will continue screaming over Sony until those HTC fanboys stop screaming.
Anonymous, 21 Jan 2016Same may be said about you...read what others are saying and stop spouting biased hate for ano... moreThere is a difference between criticism, bias and fanatism.
The fact that Z5 model row has defective lens isn't bias. It's an acknowledged fact. Expressing concerns over it is a criticism.

regs, 19 Jan 2016after all those problems with cameras it's better to avoid sony for a while until they figure ... moreMake a proper lens? You DO know that all the good smartphone lenses/sensors are made by sony right?
The sensor is beyond fantastic, what's actually wrong about Sony phones is their terrible camera software. The Xperia Z5 has the best camera sensor their is, but the image processing software just makes the photos look bad.
But if Sony is making the Nexus phone, the camera is no problem as the entire Android software is based on stock android, meaning that Sony has no control of the camera app.
With that being said, SONY XPERIA NEXUS FTW!!!
AnonD-352420, 19 Jan 2016But wasn't it Google that made the decision for the camera and not huawei ;) sondont worry, th... moreyou may find that top end Huawei phones also use Sony sensors! Non Sony sensors in top end phones are the exception rather than the rule.
regs, 19 Jan 2016Before calling people make a quick google on your own. Z5 has mass defect on lens disalignment... moreNot sure what your point is exactly as the first link you posted relates to the Z5C (the alleged response from Sony, assuming it was from Sony states they have tested the phone and could not identify a problem, the second seems to be in Russian and the third is someone posting pictures but in respect of which no one is aware of the Test Conditions! Either way, the fact remains Sony is the biggest supplier of lenses to most OEM's as previously listed, we are not talking primarily about Sony's owns phone but providing the lens to HTC (rumoured) to produce the next Nexus and Sony's phones take very decent pictures in my experience. Oh, by the way, there is a reason for DSLRs so would suggest if anyone wants picture perfect photos, they might want to invest in one of those! For the record, proud owner of the Nexus 6P here with Sony lens in situ...!
AnonD-59657, 19 Jan 2016Other potential candidate could be Lenovo.LG, Sony, Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, or Nokia (if it finally decides on manufacturing Android). They could try Microsoft for Nexus phones (as if that will ever happen anytime now; just a sujeschun)
AnonD-63308, 19 Jan 2016Okay, you got a point. But I would still prefer if they let the phone be thicker than have pro... moreExactly what I would do but it seems like we are not the majority of potential buyers :D most people care more about the design and a thin phone so companys build thin phones. There have been several thicker phones with huge batteries, all failed...
HTC should not be the manufacturer of next nexus. They are extremely overpriced. Sony should be the right choice.
AnonD-352420, 19 Jan 2016But only the compact, and they wont develop another camera for the compact. They make one modu... moreOkay, you got a point. But I would still prefer if they let the phone be thicker than have protruding camera. Being thicker means it could house more battery capacity too.
Anonymous, 19 Jan 2016What a moronic statement! Sony is renowned for its lenses and cameras, Samsung, Apple, Huawei ... moreBefore calling people make a quick google on your own. Z5 has mass defect on lens disalignment.
Sony says they aware of the problem, but at the moment latest revision 4 is still defective.
