Only J1 is questionably cheap (about 80 euros) but J5 is extreme expensive (180 euros?)
There are 3 times better alternatives from mediatek side.
At this times, Qualcomm and Samsung has only good chipsets for flagship phones but the rest is for only highly over priced phones.
If you want to buy a phone then you seek this 4 conditions...
1- Never buy any Samsung exynos 7580 phone, worser than shit.
2- Never buy any qualcomm SD210 or 410 phone, same as 7580...
3- Never pay more than 150 euro/dollar for any Snapdragon 61x phone.
4- Never think snapdragon 808 is high-end chipset, so don't pay any cent more than 250 euro/dollar for SD808 device.
If you keep this, you'll be safe and win...
Remember...
They want to drill your pockets to get money while they selling such weak shits, so you can buy new phone again...

2016 J5 must have AT LEAST similar capacity as 2016 A5.

2015 Galaxy A5 and J5 had both 2600 mAH battery.
2016 Galaxy A5 has 2900 mAH battery. So J5 is likely to have 2900 mAH battery as well.
Alternatively, J3 (2016) has 2600 mAH battery, so J5 should have slightly bigger battery, i.e. 2900 mAH.
In fact Samsung seems to have settled on distinct battery capacities and is intent on upgrading all the smartphones from 2016 capacity wise.
2050 = J1
2300 = J2*
2600 = A3, J3
2900 = A5, J5*, S7*
3300 = A7, J7*, Note6*
4000 = A9
