Anonymous, 20 Jan 2016Only J1 is questionably cheap (about 80 euros) but J5 is extreme expensive (180 euros?) There... more180 euro is "extremely expensive" to you, really?
Except ram rom there's not much more. I hope this time they'll put lights in home buttons.
Khurram, 19 Jan 2016Guys this phone is already available for purchase in Dubai since the last one week. The J5 2016 or the J1 2016 ???
Only J1 is questionably cheap (about 80 euros) but J5 is extreme expensive (180 euros?)
There are 3 times better alternatives from mediatek side.
At this times, Qualcomm and Samsung has only good chipsets for flagship phones but the rest is for only highly over priced phones.
If you want to buy a phone then you seek this 4 conditions...
1- Never buy any Samsung exynos 7580 phone, worser than shit.
2- Never buy any qualcomm SD210 or 410 phone, same as 7580...
3- Never pay more than 150 euro/dollar for any Snapdragon 61x phone.
4- Never think snapdragon 808 is high-end chipset, so don't pay any cent more than 250 euro/dollar for SD808 device.
If you keep this, you'll be safe and win...
They want to drill your pockets to get money while they selling such weak shits, so you can buy new phone again...
j5 is the best!!!!!! heita ola
looks like a good phone but SD 410 is a let down
release date in the philippines?
A5 user, 19 Jan 2016Actually the 2015 A5 has a 2300mah battery and not 2600mahYou're right. But the reasoning still stands. 2015 J5 had higher capacity than 2015 A5.
2016 J5 must have AT LEAST similar capacity as 2016 A5.
AnonD-43988, 19 Jan 2016It should have bigger battery too. 2015 Galaxy A5 and J5 had both 2600 mAH battery. 2016... moreActually the 2015 A5 has a 2300mah battery and not 2600mah
It should have bigger battery too.
2015 Galaxy A5 and J5 had both 2600 mAH battery.
2016 Galaxy A5 has 2900 mAH battery. So J5 is likely to have 2900 mAH battery as well.
Alternatively, J3 (2016) has 2600 mAH battery, so J5 should have slightly bigger battery, i.e. 2900 mAH.
In fact Samsung seems to have settled on distinct battery capacities and is intent on upgrading all the smartphones from 2016 capacity wise.
2050 = J1
2300 = J2*
2600 = A3, J3
2900 = A5, J5*, S7*
3300 = A7, J7*, Note6*
4000 = A9
* To be announced.
Great screen, decent performance, if it has a decent battery and they improve the camera too, it will be a great vfm option!
The Galaxy J1 (2016) is more interesting ;) but this will be good too
back to the future
Whats with the lollipop fetish? Manufactures should move on to never marshmallow.
why bigger screen?
why can't they just upgrade the internal specs only and leave the screen as it is?
Guys this phone is already available for purchase in Dubai since the last one week.
with such phones, samsung will have a big success in ..... lose money...:)))
