AnDas, 21 Jan 2016This is why I dislike Chinesey phones with Chinese chipsets. Mediatek is from Taiwan as far as I know. But I agree with you there. Xiaomi did provide kernel source for some Mi phones and for example you can get a stable cyanogenmod 12.1 and now also nighlies for cm13 for Mi3 and Mi4, just a shame the both of the devices don't support LTE out side of China.
Anonymous, 21 Jan 2016Nope, Dual Core iPhones can more cosume battery than Quad Core Androids.
Mediatek X20 have ... moreActually they consume way less than most android phones with "on par performance".
More cores don't necessarily mean they consume more... that depends on the actual core, there are processors that consume more than others even if they have a lesser ammount of cores.
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2016the more cores it have the more power it consume!! Nope, Dual Core iPhones can more cosume battery than Quad Core Androids.
Mediatek X20 have Quad Core A53,Quad Core A57 and Dual Core A72 with "Core Pilot" Technology.
I still think the Pro 5 is alot better than this.
Exynos surpasses the current MTK flagship in terms of CPU and GPU Benchmark plus customer experience.
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2016the more cores it have the more power it consume!! and don't you think that because of that it has 4k mah ?

Rex JS, 20 Jan 2016Hi all,
Its more of a question than comment. Does company like Meizu ever update their Androi... morethey do provide an update here and there but since Meizu never releases the kernel source code and mediathek is not much better and also violates the gpl you can forget about any custom roms and any tinkering with the phone. no custom roms, no customisation of any sort apart from the standard what meizu allows...
They upgraded the MX4's 4.4.2 to 5.0.1, and now 5.1, so the answer is yes.
Its more of a question than comment. Does company like Meizu ever update their Android versions in the previous models?
