Yes, the 5230 firmware was released way back with the 5800 firmware. The news was just delayed. I assume they just want to report it beside the x6.
New 5530 firmware was also released. Search it on google.

why can't nokia put a software update on the 5530 too? kinetic scrolling for grid menus would be awesome for the 5530. us users feel left out. :|

I never had problems b4 updating my 5230 but now i do, wish i never updated it now fone freeze more and crash more.

Anonymous, 03 May 2010Who cares? It's still has the worst interface knowni admit that its te worst interface but we should also consider that its still a crybaby who only crawls. Until it becomes an adult and capable of running, we cant do anything. Well...... theres one way out though: spb shell or gdesk or something like that ( cant remember exact names) lol

Will there be no update for Nokia 5530? It seems like all other phones have been bombarded with the latest updates and 5530 is being left out. I wish Nokia considers all these updates for 5530 too...

I've uploaded my Nokia 5230 4 days back to v20.0.005 which was released on 26.04.10. Is there any other FW newer than that? I haven't find any update than that. Or is the news older than 5 days? Can anyone reply me? Thanks.
