I honestly think 8mp will end up being the standard in the way the 5mp is that standard now. Once you pass 12mp you have to think about how good the lens quality would be.

hey guys i think gsm arena has got it wrong, i remember seeing this footage on here about 2 moths ago when they had ther copy of the prototype. So this is video + camera footage from the prototype, very shameful of gsmarena to advertise it as new info. I think they relised it would bring in alot of people to check it out.
Anyway this phone is very good and shouldn't be compared to the n 8 as thats basicly a camera phone while this is ment too meet all needs. Also the n8 will be released much later with a slower cpu not something u want when ur trying to open up 12mp files, infact from the rumors that are out the n8 is painfully slow. Now i used to be a nokia buff but they have really gone down hill and samsung have stepped things up a gear especially now the producing both hardware quailty and great looking design's, just hope ther support has also improved as if not me and alot of people like me will be moving to htc

Wow.. it's NOT the final version. Please quiet... S8500, N8, IPhone4G are GREAT devices high-end. So, S8500 will be my next. I've a Satio but Sony Ericsson is too slow for new models high-end. NO models are announced for a near future from SE

Arashi, 04 May 2010Can't challenge the N8 - fail!Is it camera phone? no? N8 is? yes? so this is not fail and this is like thousand euros cheaper. Lets see which phone is faster and which phone has better screen? u know answer even if u dont wanna admit it. FAIL! still both devices are great.

I'm sorry, not that good, photos are too saturated. I think Samsung halready ave better cameraphones than this on the market.

besides samsung will be cheaper and gives overall performance .excelling in every department.

My own HTC Touch2 creates much better pictures and vidoes, if you know how tweak it ofcourse.
Most of you readers don't, so good luck with your phones.
HTC produces far better products then many other manufacturers.

The motion isn't very smooth. There is some judder.
I did not notice any rolling shutter "jello." Then again I am not much of an expert either and this sample is not very good to test this.

Could you please make a real video, not a "steady shot" where camera is fixed to one point. It seems to me that this unit still have lack of FPS.

N8 is better, 04 May 2010Well, the N8 is much better technically, HDMI, dolby surround, 12 millions pixel from carl Zei... moreDude are you kidding me!! Even the satio is better than the wave so of course the N8 will be way way better than the wave!
I really was expecting more from the wave, well for sure it's not bad at all, the quality is great. But what I'm saying if you want a good device for recording don't fall for this HD recording. Because even the satio with (WVGA) recording is better than the wave.
And the N8 will blow the wave in pieces.
