Thats why no store and even amazon india is carrying it. It was supposed to be avcailable from Jan 30, but even today, 4 days later, no retailer has it. Ebay India is seeling imported PRiv for 50,366! I expect the company will lower the price this week. Who is running marketing for blackberry in india is truly disengaged from reality!

Star, 29 Jan 2016Seriously ? 923$ Why blackberry, Just why ?Blackberry knows that they can only sell their stuff to their existing fans. So instead of figuring out a good price that satisfy everyone, might as well milk their remaining fans.

Show me one company who has acquired as many companies as Blackberry is the past 5 years buying them all in cash and still have over $3.1 billion in cash.

Shoe me one company who had innovated and created something anywhere close to the productivity that BB products provide?

Please before making statements like the one you made, do your research and don't talk for the sake of talking and don't comment without properly backing up your comments!

www.dutycalculator.com/.../Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-Indi...In addition to duty, imports are subject to other taxes and charges such as Landing Charge, Countervailing Duty, CESS, and CEX. Duty rates in India can be ad valorem (as a percentage of value) or specific (rupees per unit). Duty rates vary from 0% to 150%, with an average duty rate of 11.9%. 28.825% on cell phones.

so yeah i can see why things cost more in india.... maybe people should stop griping at the company importing the product and take the time to look at where the money is going.

First thing, total biased pricing, second thing, they are trying to fool Indian or taking Indians for granted. Time will tell Blackberry what is the price for the same.

Blackberry cant stand in the market if they continue to launch such type of phones. It is becoz first of all, it is far expensive; Second its very heavy and thickness is too much. Today every mobile phone brands are trying to make mobile as thinner as possible like 6mm, 7.2mm etc. If one has budget of 60 k why wont they choose brands like apple, which is a well known brand in the whole world and a trusted phone with a superior quality.

I could buy 6 of redmi note 3 or 2 of letv le max pro with snapdragon 820 with that ridiculous price tag. Or Huawei Mate 8 is also a better buy.
