Bigben, 29 Jan 2016HTC - we don't listen to our customers :-)It almost seems like they do and chose to do the exactly opposite of what they are demanding them to. Bringing back the sd slot was the only exception - the only time they actually did what we asked for and what we ADVICED them to do.

    Smells good, that Perfume..

12 ultra pixel - wow, hopefully the software keeps up. Micro SD card available, hardcore processor, AMOLED display, OIS for the crooked selfies, slick design, newest software, etc...

Some may whine about the missing boomsound, ok, I can relate, but for me personally speakers are unimportant as I'm using headphones way more often.

And there's one thing left... Battery life.
I hope they won't sacrifice the juice for slimness!

Or you make a schedule and pre-determine when and where you would like to listen to something. Besides, if you really don't care about the speakers, there is not a single other reason to chose an HTC phone. They fail at everything else or at least aren't the best. While their prices, at the same time, are definitely among "the best".

*Facepalm* Yet another insane, but pretty expected move. They will get rid of the only unique feature that gave their phones any value - the stereo speakers.
        Can't wait for their bankruptcy.

I like the idea of having a 5.1" screen if there is nearly no boarder to keep it small. The Speakers of my M7 were well but I didn't used it that often. But the M7 is crap for having calls .... very unstable performance (with 3 phones I had of this ..)

sad if they move to AMOLED, sLCD is much better
but if the ultrapixel is gonna b cranked up to 12 MP and with OIS, this is a definite winner :D

I would rather have the power/fingerprint button on the side as the Sony Z5 has. Keeping the front boom sound, removing the front HTC Logo, carving that out at the back. Make the battery bigger, don't follow Apples look, The camera's news sound great though.

If the 12 MP UltraPixel camera with OIS comes to fruition ( with each pixel having 2 micrometer size) , then HTC One M10 will be a photography wizard , or a photography nightmare for other phones. Hope this happens !!
Don't care much about the front facing stereo speakers , I can always hook it up to an external speaker or a portable speaker when outside/ inside house and to the car audio system while driving. As long as the sound DAC is good , I will be happy.

Because front firing speakers mess up the screen to body ratio and we use earphones most of the time anyways. Smart move HTC.

Well if u copy A9 which looks like apple then we have to call yr butterfly series as yr flagship phones . Htc do not deviate from yr m flagship design it is yr identity and loved and unique

mr__dna, 28 Jan 2016If this is true, I am disappointed. I still love my M7 because of the size and speakers, even... moreI have the same issue.
                                      5.1-inch ?!?! A brick in my pants...no way.

up to 4.8 inch is a common sense phone.

HTC's Butterfly series will most likely retain the front facing speakers, but will not carry the higher end specs of the flagship M series. So, if you really want front facing speakers, then HTC will have a line of phones for that.
