Well, HTC's gone off the deep end if they're removing the BoomSound speakers from their next flagship, as well as using the Apple copy paste design for it. As an audiophobe and complete music nutter, I guess HTC have officially lost their edge. I miss their individuality.
P.S: If HTC failed on sound, then Sony are our only hopes O_O

Anonym, 28 Jan 2016How can it be a HTC One without the front-stereo speakers? That was a money maker for the M7 ... moreAmen to that
At this point it seems like HTC isnèt even trying now.
htc identity is the "sound"
it is a big mistake to remove it
If this is true, I am disappointed. I still love my M7 because of the size and speakers, even though the camara is pretty useless now. Why couldnt they make another 4.7" inch screen. I put my phone in my pocket, and these phones are getting too large.

Sounds like great specs. Even thinking about replacing my M9.
A 12MP camera is a good compromise. Look forward to OLED screen and fingerprint scanner.
LostInTheSorrow, 28 Jan 2016How can they kill BoomSound speakers—one of their best known and most valuable feature!? They ... moreI couldn't agree more with your opinion! What the hell is HTC thinking? Audio over performance, anyday. There aren't even games that benefit from SD820. It's just graphical showoff.
Those brilliant Super LCD screens and Boomsound were the only remaining good parts of HTC phones. Well, if they are planning to take those away, then my 12 year journey with HTC is coming to an end. Definitely WON'T buy this.
Disappointing if they take away something that makes their flagships so special in the first place ...I definitely won't be buying if this is true.
HTC is back in buisness just make it water and dust proof like xperia Plz Plz Plz
How can they kill BoomSound speakers—one of their best known and most valuable feature!? They completely want to blend with other mass phone makers and remove anything exclusive about One M series. A total disappointment.
They going to ask about 800 euro for sure.
I haven't seen any performance phone with affordable price.
You have M9 with 600 euros and you have S6 for 480 euros.
There is no answer why people should choose HTC instead of S6?
At least for me...
Dang. A Direct competitor to the S7...Can HTC make a comeback?
Anonymous, 28 Jan 2016I loathe stereo speakers. Wayyyyyy too loud and everyone in the room hears the other caller talkingBoomsound is made for music most importantly and music is my life! No stereo speakers, no buy, simple as that.
Anonymous, 28 Jan 2016That'd be too small for me, and I'm only 5ft 10That doesn't mean that 3-4 persons on the planet shouldn't be able to use a phone one-hand just because of single you. There is no much difference between 5,1'' and 5,5''. Buy a 5,5'' version.

Average human height is 167 cm. And there is statistics - Sony and Apple properly sized smartphones sells many times more than their phablet counterparts.
No front facing stereo speakers... well, i knew this would happen. I'm gonna stick to my M8 as those boomsound stereo speakers happens to be the most important feature of M8 as i'm a big music lover. HTC made a HUGE mistake for not including those famous boomsound speakers.
