raghufun.raghu65@gma, 06 May 2010Hi my name is Raghu from bangalore. SE they are launching good models but one think i was aski... moreNo multi-touch. It's not a software issue. It's a hardware issue. The X10 does not have hardware which supports multi-touch.
X10 SE, 06 May 2010Some of you guys are telling that the N1 and Desire are better than the the X10. Engadget who ... moreWhat are you on about? Here's engadget's review of the X10:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/22/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-review/
And here's their conclusion:
Thing is, it's not just about the hardware; when it comes to Android, unless you buy a so-called "Google Experience" device, it's never going to be about the hardware alone. Any company that tries to aggressively skin a mobile platform is going to have issues -- possibly major ones -- on its first iteration. That's a pretty unavoidable reality of engineering, and it's a growing pain that both Blur and Sense have gone through (in fact, you could argue that Blur's still in the thick of that fight). The X10's input problems alone would unfortunately be enough to turn us away from the phone within a few days' use -- we just write way too much email and way too many text messages to deal with a situation like that -- but it feels like these guys are just a few minor tweaks away from a great custom platform that pairs rather beautifully with a phone that easily goes toe-to-toe with the Nexus One.
But ultimately, would we actually take this over a Nexus? Give us a few bug fixes, Sony Ericsson -- and a hard date for an Eclair upgrade -- and you might just have a deal on your hands.
-----
Seems pretty obvious the Nexus One won by a narrow margin. I wonder what Engadget's reviewers would have to say if they knew that SE planned to release an Android 2.1 update in Q4. I am guessing the margin the Nexus One won by, would have been a lot wider.

cool x10 u are great why u dont have MT i want multitouch
sony like no other
In 9 months, SE will just release a new handset that'll be 3 months behind and they'll move on. Loyal fans will plunk down another $600 for the new phone and everybody will forget about the X10.
It's the SE way.

Try any bar phone from SE in a noisy environment, the party you're talking to would only hear everything else except your voice...
X10 SE, 06 May 2010Some of you guys are telling that the N1 and Desire are better than the the X10. Engadget who ... moreEngadget have never recommended the X10 over the N1 or Desire. What are you on about? Android 2.1 makes all Android devices fast as hell. Still with the UX shell on the X10, it matters little with all the lag.
This WOULD have been perfect it were coming out around now. Unfortunately it isn't. SE fails once more. By the time this update rolls out, we will be getting tastes of Android Gingerbread.
Anonymous, 06 May 2010Who cares if the price drop to 650? This POS is overpriced and will be a year out of date. An... moreGo Sony Ericsson!! it's great that they're supporting this magnificent phone, they always provide updates for alot of their phones, just like nokia. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, HTC and Apple will not only wipe the floor with Motorola but also you use at as a toilet cleaner/scrubber, what else is Moto good for?
Thank SE for the upgrade, until you make it possible HTC and SAMSUNG will have full HD recording, android 2.2, 1.5Ghz procesor and maybe they will be able to make espresso!

Love my X10 can't wait for this update.
Some of you guys are telling that the N1 and Desire are better than the the X10. Engadget who have the best reviews told they would take the X10 over the N1. And I agree with them. The few advantages that 2.1 provides are almost useless in daily life. X10 already comes with Bluetooth file transfers which other 1.6 devices dont come with.
wow
with android 2.1 and hd video recording and 16m color it will be almost perfect except multitouch
the next firmware update for x10 will come in this month and will improve battery life of x10
SE is supporting its customers now
third firmware update for satio and first firmware update for vivaz will come in this month too!
