[deleted post]It's true that I may keep picking on a Ferrari because I simply can't afford it.
But I just won't do that for X10. At the same price range, I can easily buy a better phone.
- HD video recording?
- Android 2.1?
My friend, I don't need to wait until Q4.
Better late than never
[deleted post]Doesn't support multi-touch is really outdated by itself.
Compare to Samsung Galaxy S, it only has a better (pixels)camera, in term of hardware.
So no multitouch?! Up date to 2.1 is almost contemporary since froyo is around the corners. I love the hd recording though.

[deleted post]Who cares if the price drop to 650? This POS is overpriced and will be a year out of date. And who cares about HD recording on this POS?
By Q4 there are going to be cheaper and more capable Android phones. And forget Samsung. HTC and Motorola are going to wipe the floor with SE.
The best part of this press release is that SE is admitting that phones which it will be releasing will be out of date on release. Hope you love SE enough to pass on Google Maps Navigation, Flash support, app installation to the memory card, multi-touch and FM radio for a year.

Maybe where I live makes a difference...

Why not "promote" it can do everything else as Android 1.6 with 65K color mon?
Actually it's a win-win situation for SE. When time comes the 2.1/2.2 is available, the X10 will be more affordable. It will be more enticing to get the X10.

At least Sony Ericsson is actually recovering. and the thing with us X10 owners is we chose the phone for its cool unique ui. heck, i couldn't even care less for its version. and i got a huge screen, a good camera, great video recording, and more to enjoy. if all you want is a goddam android version then go get yourself a moto and wait til' you die to get an update for features.
[deleted post]X10 sales on fire?
I'd bet most of the X10 users would have sold their X10 before SE offers them the upgrade....by the end of this year!
Most of the comments I heard from users of X10 are "terrible, DO NOT recommend to others, NEVER GET IT", while most Motorola Android users are quite happy with their phones, not to mention HTC.
Am glad SE is also on the Android bandwagon, yet it charges so much for X10 and give customers Android 1.6 & 65K mon as such "top of the line price"?
If SE really "cares" about its customers by offering the best available, why does it take the company "6 months" to upgrade the OS from Android 1.6 to 2.1? Shouldn't Android 2.1 be available upon release?
FYI, Motorola Milestone was released with Android 2.0 back in Nov / Dec 2009, upgraded to 2.0.1 by end of Jan, and 2.1 by the end of Mar.
And X10? End of the year?

by the time X10 gets Android 2.1 update, chances are others like Motorola and HTC would move to Android 2.2, if not 2.3/2.4 and so on...
i dont see the point of amoled i know is better quality nut my x10 is excellent in the sun because it automatically brightens the screen in the sun so tis perfect!

Yes I agree with you folks, SE are providing some crazy updates, first with the satio that turned (VGA) to (WVGA) recording and now from WVGA to HD are they serious!! And on the X10 woow.
Just imagining a powerful tool like the X10 having HD recording with the brilliant 4 inch display is totally awesome ;)
