AnonD-190634, 01 Feb 2016Linux? :O where are you linux?!Linux usage grew a little, from 1.66 percent to 1.71 percent. It's not much but it's okay, it doesn't have to lead the market or become super popular. It just has to remain as good as it is now. I'm a happy Linux user. :-)

OSX is less than 7%. I am sure if you take the actual qty it would be still less than the total qty of phones using Windows OS. But the Macs are considered a success but Windows phones are considered not that successful.

AnonD-190634, 01 Feb 2016Linux? :O where are you linux?!Still at the mercy of elitists with superiority complex who shut out the helpful members. But Canonical is trying to change it, bringing it to the PC market, and trying to get more third-party software developers to start considering developing Linux. It still has a long way to go, but its time will come.

actually very slow growth considering its a near-forced upgrade

As a long time OSx user (since the early 90's), I'm happy to finally forgo using any Apple products now. Windows caught up and surpassed OSX in literally every aspect, IMO.

Project Astoria is not dead after all. They wanted to make it available on PC too, that's why they paused the development for phones.

People still prefer Windows 7 because 8 onwards and especially 10 are bug ridden. Windows 10 destroyed my hard drive and my Wireless card so I'm never upgrading to that garbage OS again even if they pay me.
