Well, in a way it's some sort of healthy for all the customers/users/consumers, because this year more than ever before, it will be really a hot hot battle between the flagships of almost every brand, including the Chinese companies, and it will be exciting which flagship it will be really the best of all???????

AnonD-209269, 01 Feb 2016Anyone knows and cares to elaborate? I mean obviously the chipset supports better than 1080p. ... moreIt seems to me to be a choice to cap video recording to 1080p (much like the Huawei Mate 8), rather than a hardware or software limitation. I can see their reasoning, as the file sizes are huge (compared to 1080p) and 4k display devices are still nowhere near as popular as FHD display devices. Makes sense to me.

Anyone knows and cares to elaborate? I mean obviously the chipset supports better than 1080p. So is this a software decision? If yes, then how difficult is for them to hire better programmers? If they have the software, are they stupid or something? This is something outrageous!
