Well this is definitely unfair to those who have genuine reasons for refund, but hey look at the bright side now we'll have to worry less about getting the used phones.
in this country there is everything, except loyalty, trust and honesty. coz of few people, others will have to suffer. good going e-comm giants, flipkart and amazon.
as they say "good things happen to good people". and vice versa.
online shopping stores should provide trial/display malls in main cities so that consumers can check before they order anything.
As Indian, I understand their pain. We as a people has failed, we don't deserve good treatment because of these type of actions!
No racist here. Somehow I knew why there are a lot of YouTubers of smartphone that ara Indians. As a consumer, these Indian YouTubers provide us important information before fully deciding to buy a phone. I hope this event won't minimize or affect that privilege of having honest and competent reviewers and reviews.
Nice move there Amazon! Keep it up!!
I'm from India too and I've seen lot of casses like these.
Yes, Good move by Amazon.
Though i want to know, whats the return policy in another countries? Are people in another countries same as in India.
I for sure knew that this policy wont work in India. Indians just grab the opportunity to abuse the system.
It had to happen because of some frauds. Now, the customers with genuine problems with the phones has to suffer.
Well done Amazon!!!

Really happy to see people supporting Amazon's decision, which is the only option for them given the circumstances.

You can't survive in India if you are really a honest person. It's ruled by fraud, thieves and corruption. Be it companies, the government and especially politicians. And if you have money, you have the license to do anything in India.
P.S. I am an Indian as well.
And Amazon, good move.

If your country has 1 billion people and lets say 0.01% are fraudsters or theives, that's still 10 million people which equates to a lot of fraud and theft. China has a similiar problem.
