I'm not Apple fan(never bought an Apple products and I prefer Japanese companies or Philips; I've a SE Satio) but I think Nokia or HTC are just jealous. Apple comes late with a OS not standard and win because so powerfull and easy to use!
I think Htc did well with this complaint. And I also think that Motorola is next filling a complaint against apple
[deleted post]The technology was fairly shared in this field before Apple joined it. However Apple does not want to share as the other companies have done. This is the root of the problem. Apple wants to TAKE but not GIVE. They have taken the technology needed to construct a modern mobile phone. They refuse to share technology that they have themselves developed. They sued HTC and Nokia about that. Now they are being sued back. What's so hard to understand here?
Anonymous, 14 May 20103 years is not a tad late. Apple has done things that no one has dared done before. And beca... moreIt's so tiring to try and talk to an iSheep. Seriously. Just a few pointers for you:
- Computers does not equal mobile phones.
- Mobile communications does not equal computer networking.
I'm not going to explain why, you should be getting your basic education elsewhere. But I figure you're too busy playing with your iphone to do that. And to talk things you have no knowledge about on this forum. Go ahead, nobody's stopping you. But you're making yourself look like a fool. But being an iSheep, I suppose you're used to it.
Anonymous, 14 May 2010Woolworth logo is more like pumpkinyup, youre right, and apple sued woolworths for it. imagine that.
I think this has all the makings of a David vs. Goliath event. HTC being David and Apple being Goliath. HTC is the biggest producer of Android and WinMO phones out there, so who do you think Google and Microsoft will support? Plus helping HTC in this situation is Nokia, Apple has to worry about them also. And lets not forget the key player in this situation, the company that just partnered with Nokia, Intel. Now on whose side might you think they will be? Plus there is always the wildcard Adobe. We never know if they will decide to get in on all the legal fun.
Deep Space Bar, 14 May 2010Apart from the rather obvious fact that iPods and iPads aren't smartphones and don't have dial... moreI totally agree with you. Just proves what I said. HTC doesn't care, or they know that this complaint will not push through. What they want is to spoil the next iphone's release which is coming up in a coupe of weeks :)

Anonymous, 14 May 2010So you're saying that each case filed against Apple (regarding Patents) have no basis whatsoev... moreThat is what lawyers are paid to do, and that is what they're good at. Of course they would use their know-how to make their complaint valid, even deep down inside they know that there's actually no case, but then, they're hoping that this complaint would affect Apple's sales in the upcoming release of the 4th gen iphone.
Lol, 14 May 2010Only in US not outside.Read Apple's 1st qtr report. The iphone's sales outside the US is over 50% of their total unit sales :)
Anonymous, 14 May 2010To The Apple Zombies, Htc Was producing touch screen phones way before Apple. Considering I ha... moreOh yeah huh, HTC has produced several touchscreen phone before the iphone. Ummm, whatever happened to them again? Lol. Whatever technologies Apple has, whether it's their own, or they bought it, it's legally theirs. There is nothing wrong with buying out companies. That's legal, and since they've bought it, they have all the legal rights to protect it. They spend billions of dollars acquiring those technologies, of course they have every right to protect it.
