Yes, the Exynos 7870 is aimed to the SD625, though the latter's cores can be clocked up to 2.0GHz or more. Depending of the number of cores that has the Mali-T830, the Adreno 506 could be faster too. All things considered, Samsung still has job to do with their midrange offerings, because it seems that Qualcomm and Mediatek are doing better, specially Mediatek.

Something is going on wi... moreI agree that power savings of only 30% seem rather small, given that feature size is 'half' and potential area reduction should be up to 75%. I guess TSMC 28nm HPC+ has really gone a long way lowering power requirements.
