AnonD-72449, 17 Feb 2016Camera software's post processing will play a huge role here.. can't crown it best camera just... moreYou are right, and Xiaomi isn't known for their highest camera's quality but more for good allaround phones at decent prices.
Also, they don't support all 3G/LTE bands too, something to consider for people dreaming about it.
Despite that, i'm waiting for chinese sites reviews / handson.
But will it work on the Verizon network? It would have to go a long way to beat the Droid Turbo 2.
i am selling my s6 edge plus and gettings mi5
AnonD-488046, 17 Feb 20161080P Screen??! Come on xiaomi u have to give better...........Especially when competition is ... moreBecause it's a 5 inch screen, that's why. Density is far more than you could see. Besides that and more, it's a phone not a laptop!
shut up and take my money...
At 6.35mm thick, I highly doubt that the battery capacity will be 3600 mAh. It would be an insane achievement if it were true. 3000 is a much more realistic value.
Don't freak out about the aperture, I think it's very likely, that the phone will get the same sensor than the mate 8 has, because it's still a phone with an aggressive price tag and this image sensor is pretty affordable for manufacturers and additionally its like the successor of the imx 214 from the mi4.
If that's the case, than we are talking about a 1/2.8 inch sensor. So the f/1.6 aperture on a 1/2.3 sensor like the nexus 6p has would only be about f/1.95. That's still good but nothing revolutionary, in combination with the budget 16mp chip I still believe, they can archive galaxy s6 or lg g4 camera quality but not more. To the camera will be more 2015 than 2016 standard.
sony bringing hybrid autofocus, LG bringing multi axis OIS, Xiaomi bringing high megapixel count with f/1.6, Asus bringing optical xoom, All manufacturers bringing manual mode.
The point and shoot is going to be extinct soon.
I'm okay with 1080p resolution up to 6" displays. Hope Xiaomi unveils a phablet version of this monster.
5.7" 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 820, 4/64 GB, microSD slot, 16/8 MP snappers with OIS and Dual LED flash, minimal bezels, USB C with 3.1 standard, Fingerprint scanner
... and I'm sold.
I really need a 3600 mAh battery...this may be my next phone if the S7 will only have a 2800 mAh battery.
Anonymous, 17 Feb 2016This 820 on fire doesn't reassure me too much...Gold comment right here!!!! ;D +1
DonAlduck, 17 Feb 2016This will indeed be a beast. This should be named the flagship killer of the year 2016! :D
Sh... moreIndeed!
If they make sure to quickly give official CM support (like the Mi3/4 already have) then forget about the Nexus line, this would be the real-deal with daily builds and quick security updates!
very wide aperture, I hope its future is as wide as it's camera aperture. Lol nothing to worry for now, i am happy with my sd805. No major bump in the technology, but instead of gimmicky marketing strategy again. Who needs a adreno 530 on a 1080 panel, well 530 seems good for 4k, (lol) 32/64gb plus non expandable storage on a 4k?I don't really get the point. I like the 6Ghz wifi band it's usefull on a 5mW radio transmitter, A72 for the win. Yeah you need more powerful processor to play candy crush, watch your love making scenes on your browser. But good news folks this one wil sell for 400-500,unlike the s7. But to be hones. I am eexcited also with this.
This leaked presentation tells me what my next phone is going to be :)

Should be available in the EU for a reasonable price, and they'd buy me as my next upgrade.
Looking forward to read the full review when its released :)
