It's more logical to get iPhone instead in that price range. Just my 2 cents.
I don't really find the usefulness of it. I mean... there are already maaaaaaany cloud storage companies with smart features. I guess the phone won't be totally dependant on data, however it will use it a lot if there's not so much internal/SD storage available. If you say: But it will download the content when you're connected to Wifi... well, that already exists and it's applicable to any smartphone/tablet/Laptop without having to reduce the specs of the phone to get that. "You will decide what to sync"... you can do it on any cloud storage app.
My point is... these features already exists and you can use them on any phone. Then again, I'm saying thise before the release of this new handset so there's noway I could know if there are features it will offer related to cloud storage that are not available right now on other services/phones.

I see this device as something too specific, it's both for people that will both manage to run out of 32 GB of storage and still be able to ditch some files but keep them backed up, but would need them at any time, even tho these files were ditched a while ago. Can't see how coming home and plugging into USB and offloading to the PC, or just deleting the file after that typical social network upload is any different, specially if the upload would happen inside Wifi anyway.

Hmm. What's the use of their clould storage? My 200 GB is faster and cheaper. This smartphone is DOA.
Finally something smart. Now bring a good camera and a qwerty keyboard and it's perfect. Tablets are good with touch, smartphones don't necessarily need it. I'm talking about Blackberry with Meego and qwerty keyboard made by Nokia (with the shutter key included). :)

So your point is moot.

Majority if mobile phone users don't even know what a dropbox or an SD card is. Convenience and ease of use are major selling points for every type of product.
As long as it works, you don't have to know how. If you never run out of space, you never have to think about how much storage you have or how to increase the amount.

You can get a LG G4 with same chip for less than 400$ and probably better camera, larger screen and you can use dropbox, photos, google drive and lots of other cloud applications and it also has SD slot and removable battery.
Given its focus on cloud service reliance it is rather bizarre that no 4G variant is available at launch. Also in contrast to Google's cloud focused laptops (Chromebooks) the price of this device is rather high putting in direct competition with Android mid rangers and some excellent flagships from China.
Concept is great but cloud uploading constantly will surely take a toll on our data plan. By the way I've ordered two ₹251 phone.
