If I remember correctly it wasn't a Crapdragon.

Both exynos and snapdragon are manufactured by Samsung and your logic is as dumb as it can get ..
Samsung can't hold candle to either Qualcomm or apple ..
Samsung is just pushing as many exynos as possible since not many bother about what goes inside

DarthSneed, 20 Feb 2016Wrong!! Samsung produced 46% of the A9, and TSMC produced 54%, Ironically enough, the Samsung... moreThere is no fact unless you are there in person, any one knows that you can cause the pre benchmark load status of one phone to differ from another, so unless you handle both models of phone, don't ket them out of your sight, check that one is not a carrier branded bloat fest, then there is nothing factual.
Billions of loose dollars floating around.
I saw a major publication do its Christmas purchase steering fiasco, for tablets, once, leave the ipad reviewed against the OTHER options leaving out its two major superior rivals, with massive screen superiority amongst many other superior qualities, one from samsung, the other made by samsung,. The article reviewed a year old samsung product with half the ipads screen resolution and all the old small ram and small out of date hardware specs.
The other tablets where mainly iidustry ,also rans, with one smaller screened rival, of course apple were anounced as the...must buy ..product..WHAT! Yep its what bucks can dooo.
Not even a mention that superior products existed.
I have seen iphones slide in from the side on drop tests, to be picked up flawless and pad damage ignored in drop tests and on and on and on, I'm not saying "i" stuff is no good, but the media is thier friend, and we were not there to collaborate what you state as fact.
I don't care who's phones are bough
Jin1234, 20 Feb 2016Talk about sales. Yeah. Guess who manufacture Apple A chipset, Exynos and Snapdragon? All made... moreWrong!! Samsung produced 46% of the A9, and TSMC produced 54%, Ironically enough, the Samsung A9 iPhone 6S & 6S+'s have signifigantly lower battery life and draw 10% to 15% more power than TSMC's version of the same chip/architecture (Samsung's 14nm vs/ TSMC's 16nm), and that's REAL WORLD TESTS, not Apple's nonsense, damage control benchmarks (Google is your friend). 14nm FinFET is meaningless if not optimized properly, and my guess is that they rushed the fab to keep their contract with Cupertino, and as a result, they have lost any chance of another. No big deal for Samsung, they are a MASSIVE company with many, MANY product lines, and Apple dropping them for their next SoC fab is probably not that big of a loss for Samsung in the long term.
So while youre HALF correct (actually, a little less than half) about Samsung producing the A9, their version of the SoC is inferior to TSMC's version . . and that's with Samsung's 14nm FinFET process. That's why Apple isn't partnering with Samsung again on SoC fab.
And if you didn't know (or forgot), the Snapdragon 820 is actually MANUFACTURED BY SAMSUNG, but they are using a more updated version of the 14nm FinFET fab process than what was used to produce the A9, so the SD820 will no doubt be a great SoC, considering the amazing single core performance the Twister core's have been shown to crank out on a much younger 14nm fab process.
I'm no fan of Apple, and I'm no fan of Samsung, but I'm also not a fan of people spreading lies and misinformation as factual. Samsung makes a fine SoC, as does Qualcomm, but let's not let our inner "fanboy" cause us to argue things that aren't even based in reality.
Have a wonderful weekend.
ABADDON, 20 Feb 2016because Exynos isn't that famous compare to Apple's A and Qualcomm Snapdragon sac to compete w... moreTalk about sales. Yeah. Guess who manufacture Apple A chipset, Exynos and Snapdragon? All made by Samsung last year. The problem is Samsung helping too many companies they don't have the production capacity to produce enough Exynos this year. So, mixing Exynos and Snapdragon is the best solition. Btw, they manufactured it thus making the price of obtaining snapdragon lower.
Samsung pressure sensitive display... WOW.... what a innovation! I bet GSMA will say that this feature will the innovating thing ever.... buahahahaha

BLAME EXYNOS!!!
So is that Samsung ' s decision? After Exynos 7420 completely destroying everything and everyone in 2015, they go back to a snapdragon in 2016? Are they completely insane?
Samsung is about a year ahead of qualcomm and still distrust their Socs even in their own products. What's wrong with that picture?
BTW lack of 4G can't be the reason as it used to be. New Exynos have full band support... Really, what are they thinking?
