First, all types of Heat-pipes use the same thermal process to cold-down a GPU, CPU, BRIDGE I/O and RAM.
Second, what Samsung just did was done before by Sony, Microsoft and many others.
Third, Vapor-chamber really? for god sake don't be a fan-boy.
Four, this from all the other developments is the worst I've ever seen in a phone this one is just marketing target and does nothing, it doesn't even have direct contact with the GPU and CPU also no Thermal paste?
Five, the pipe are isolate inside the body frame and do not have a any way of dissipation and with that short diameter even worst I can accept it if they make a large heat-pipe around the body... but call that short diameter piece of crap a "heat-pipe or liquid cooler" REALLY?
Six, Go hell Samsung and all the fanboys too.
Heat-pipe need to thermal-pad (evaporator) the component so it transfer the heat into the fluid (High pressure) then evaporate after it enter to the cooler end condenser (Low pressure) which i can't find on that pipe.

We ... moreThank you!
It's just crazy, like they (read:fanboys) don't want the competitors to strive for innovating and finding NEW things while adopting recent things , to make an overall product better, a product that we, the consumer, get.

We really dont get what you are arguing about. You're arguments are nonsensical.
MasEnha, 23 Feb 2016How do U know it's using liquid coolant? Really? Then we need a pump to make the liquid flowing. The water is moving when it evaporates, PC gpu and cpu coolers work the same way. Water cooling is the same system just that you don't have to wait for the water to evaporate to move it because you're using a pump
MasEnha, 23 Feb 2016How do U know it's using liquid coolant? Really? Then we need a pump to make the liquid flowing. It basically evaporates the water, it moves up, cools down, and comes back down.
MasEnha, 23 Feb 2016How do U know it's using liquid coolant? Really? Then we need a pump to make the liquid flowing.Read the article. It clearly says "heatpipe".

If it were by me, I'd take Samsung's design, Sony camera sensors, Apple's customer service which I heard was good, Blackberry's qwerty keyboards, LG's dual camera wide angle lens, HTC's or somebody elses dual speakers on a phone, basically the best out of each brand and make it MINE with what I want, for it to have the functionality each individual wants.
At the end of the day I'm sure you care more about what you have in your pocket and what you use on a daily basis, rather than carring about a fanboy on a forum.
I think each brand copying eachother or ... let's not say copying, I'd rather use " implementing" or "adopting" inovation from other brands, is a good thing, for the end consumer.

The Note came along and actually made >5 usable and in phone size.

I dont get it why does everybody care of stuff like that?
If Sony did waterproofing years ago , great for them, if one year later Samsung implemented waterproofing in their phones as well, so what? That's great too.
If Apple started the glass&metal designs then one year later Samsung had them too, who cares?
At the end of the day , their all trying to improve their products and make them better and better , so if one brand "copies" another brand's implementation of something new, that made "last year's" phone amazing , then why not have that feature this year too .
Let them copy , let them innovate let them compete with eachother cose we, the end consumer, get the best of it.
This is hilarious... This isn't innovation. The Sony Z2 from years ago had this
