This seems like THE phone to have , everything amazing but no flash for the camera?????? Come on Samsung.....this is like having a music player that doesn't support mp3
Think i'll stick with the i8910 and Hyperx's cooked roms
rex, 25 May 2010the only question that remains un-answred is whether Samsung will push froyo update on this ph... morehi, no need to bother for upgrade to froyo right now, this beast is much more faster and sleeker than any smartphone on the planet. as confirmed by samsung, it will have 512RAM, against demo version is having only 256RAM and still working fantastic amd smoodh.( Android requires less memory compare to windows and symbium is the reason)
so evenif the upgrade to froyo take place quite late, say after one year, rest assured it want have any nagetive impect on performance and capability of multitasking..im damed sure.
"A primary camera of 5 MP resolution supporting auto focus and LED flash in embedded in it."
looks like the samsung have added a flash, however this is the only source which states there will be a flash
When is i9000 gonna get Froyo? if they will ever will...
Gsm readers are usually from the countries which doesn't make any phones. Except the ifans. There aren't many Finnish, south korean or japanese here.
[deleted post]eh, kamu orang mana kok lucu bahasanya kaya indo? :)
the only question that remains un-answred is whether Samsung will push froyo update on this phone or not, and how fast that update will be...

GAZ cpw, 24 May 2010desire : 576 RAM
x10 : 384 RAM
n1 : 512 RAM
so im not sure what makes the galaxy s better... more@GAZ cpw
What makes Galaxy S better than Desire?
- faster CPU
- faster GPU
- better screen
- longer battery life
That's roughly it.
if gsmarena can push samsung for an answer to whether will Froyo be available for Galaxy-S...
[deleted post]do you understand spanish? mmm.. i´m sorry for you!
Samsung has teamed up with Yahoo ! and will be offering Yahoo services on their android phones... versus Google services.
Not good, at least for me, so my next phone will be HTC...
Tony, 24 May 2010I would like to know if the Samsung Galaxy S will get a software upgrade to v2.2.
I mean ha... moreNot that I know of. I haven't really seen Samsung update jack squat for many of their phones, which is one of the reasons why I decided to avoid Samsung until they get their act straight.
Best phone or not, I don't care for the specs. It can be the fastest phone in the world but if it doesn't suit my tastes, needs, and requirements... I won't get it. In this case, the Galaxy S isn't my cup of tea. I hate the iPhone-ripoff UI; I'm sick of it. Disliked the looks of touchwiz, don't like the dotted back cover, don't like how the modified UI is done, and don't like how I've been hearing how it isn't possible to go vanilla UI. The Samsung widgets aren't all that impressive nor have an edge over the others. Then there are company related issues that directly affect the phone like the non-existent customer support and device support.
The pros I like though are the excellent sound quality, slim form, SuperAMOLED, and a faster CPU/GPU. But that's hardware related which isn't the end all be all factor in my eyes... expect the sound quality (audiophile).
Just my two cents. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. If you like it, then good for you. Don't like it? Then you have learned a lesson and hopefully you will know better to avoid it should the situation come again. IOW, fanboys... please get a grip.
Please Samsung, release the Pro version with Froyo with all it's QWERTY greatness! That will be the ultimate Android device!
android fan, 24 May 2010Friendly advice to all of you who plan to get this.... carry you charger/USB cable everywhere ... morethat is the case among htc brands android..
but this may be different, as GSM already mentioned that this phone has better battery life! lasts up to 2 days of full use, samsung has done a good job with the battery life... again this is not an HTC phone..
This is one sweet phone, has the best hardware bar none, shame about the lack of flash. But with the Android 2.2 which is in the works will have full web site flash support is awesome.
The back looks somewhat aweful but hey so long as it is light portable with good battery life and alot of feature i can use i am up for it.
