This is great news. This phone seems like it has almost everything I want from a smartphone. The only big question that is left now is how their update plan looks like. I really need too know that I am getting the latest android updates. 2.2 Froyo seems like a big leap forward for android smartphones.
this is great news, now i will wait for the final pricing of this phone, but i just don't want to pay more than 500Euros... btw for those, who want full flash support do as i do, download a remote desktop aplication and start browsing through your home PC :)

It rocks
who cares about what samsung arena says!
This phone wants to be an iphone but it will never be!
The N8 and the X10 are unique and different and every one has it's own goodies. But well what can I say, every one does what it's good it and samsung are the best in copying/pasting.
Cheers! N8 will be my next phone not this joke.

I would like to know if the Samsung Galaxy S will get a software upgrade to v2.2.

Wtfish samsung...!!! dude...india is the largest cellphone market in the world! release it here first for fish sake... not europe...! i want this phone...and dude...better price it right or m gettin a lightining...!
In fact, if you think about it, the pré-model proposed in test with different website are 256MB of RAM.
Already the test was very good, now we know it will run with 512MB of RAM! This shows only 256MB it worked very well, so with 512MB, it goes fast!
Supernice 512MB RAM.
I have a Pentax K-x DSLR camera (Yes, the cheapest one) and Pentax AF540FGZ flash (Guide Number 54!!) So no flash never bothers me.
nokialover, 24 May 2010Sorry galaxy I9000 you may full of galactic features but I have already lead my eyes on Nokia ... moreSorry, you can't compare the N8 to this beast.
I said this about a month ago when Gsmarena did the preview...512mb RAM. Mobile-review and Frandroid confirmed it already too.
I see it is already available on pre-order on UK Vodafone, but I will wait till T-Mobile has it for sale (3GB data allowance > 500mb and charges for going over the limit)
I have a question. Is the memory(I mean RAM, not ROM) same as other android phone's(HTC Desire, N1, SE X10 etc)? Anybody know it?
Thank you!
[deleted post]Soon? Galaxy S will be available next week, Nokia N8 three months later.
Apart from iPhone 4G, best in the market, must have!
Samsung fan, 24 May 2010best smart phone with no flash for the camera is this a joke!!! thanks but i'll pass.Quite agree, as I have just posted. Now if Samsung take any note of feedback, and my personal experience is that they don't, they would look at the negaitve feedback overall here, note the competition, and do something about it. Ah well dark photos then if you buy this. I won't be.
