You never use or try their devices but you are trolling here and there that Xiaomi/Chinese products are s**k??? I am happy if you are happy with sony or samsung or asus, it's your choice, no one force you to buy a Xiaomi, is there any? But for me and many people are happy Xiaomi products customer. Are you happy now? I hope so, have a nice day, buddy.

There are so many phones to choose from and specially I will not spend my money just to test their device. Better to buy a Sony Phone again or Samsung or Asus again. Price is a bit reasonable but I'm sure it's worth it. =)
AnonD-501554, 01 Mar 2016And their product s*cks! =)No, buddy, you are totally wrong.
Xiaomi = quality.
I am not guessing or assuming, I've been using several Xiaomi phones, and accesories, they are just very good. Don't judge all Chinese products are cheap and not good. Maybe it was, but not todays. You don't have to trust me and I don't force you to trust me. Just try their products first then give your honest comment.
Qm, 29 Feb 2016I purchased Xperia M and my brother purchased Mi3. I purchased as because of Brand by sony and... moreWhat? Sony camera is crappy? LOL! Sony is known with their good products, features and durability and the price is so reasonable too.
Cheese , 29 Feb 2016what ever you say, APPLE SAMSUNG SONY NOT CHINA brand, even they got factorys at Thailand, you... moreAre you St**id? It's obvious that Xiaomi is a china phone. Try to research first before you leave a comment. I'm not racist but it seems you're a Chinese? =)
If I live in china , i would choose Mi5 , cause there so much service centre support, and if I live in europe, ofc I choose sony, but unfortunately Xiaomi isnt ready for international business, even In indonesia they cant bring redmi note 3,redmi3 , mi4c, sorry for my bad english.
One of the biggest fan battles I have seen in a while.
Guess it's less of a battle between Sony and Mi5 but more of a battle between philosophy of low cost best specs and experience per lowest price, bank for buck phone vs established, stable, reliable, pricey, yet therefor boring phone.
I myself consider both devices to be very great, but would pick neither.
Also better match to mi5 would be Z series. Or better yet Samsung or LG flagships, cuz Sony isn't about impressing with most features per price, and having something new in design, camera or other departments every year as also full of UI features.
Sony's philosophy of perfect phone is very simple, this is one of the stockest smartphones you can get, omni balance beatiful and simple design, simple yet fast UI, well performing processing power, camera, battery, waterproofness you can rely on.
They have found the perfect formula, and they just refine, just sharpen Samurai sword and improve it every year or half year ever so little.
To a degree, where there is no fun or compassion for the device, Z series have become so perfect so that it reminds of hospital or so, you can rely on it, but it's no fun to be in.
Many people appreciate this approach, but many also seek adventure and new experiences with new device they own, not just same with better specs again.
Kinda like one prefers one painting and improves it every year and still likes it while other artists desire to paint new painting every time.
So Xiaomi and Sony is interesting comparison of different worlds and philosophies.
Better match for Xiaomi would be Samsung and Lg. While for Sony Iphone.
No wonder I hear in Sony device comments about people who want to go from Iphone to Sony, they share similar approach of perfectness.
However there are many key differences, but still I find Sony to be Iphone match.
For one Iphone do bring element of change by making it happen in 2 year period, first year introducing new design, form factor, new philosophy of what ideal phone should be and second year refining it with better specs and features.
Let's not talk about premium price people are willing to pay for a phone that they are sure of to be reliable, polished to maximum, and up to date with newest features what modern phone should have, great, reliable camera, fast performing user experience.
It really isn't about the specs, as it's already proven, they have to be good enough, good enough to deliver certain amount of experience.
Like with cars, if you are buying luxus car, you expect it to be reliable, having powerful engine, great saloon and good quality exterior even tho there are cars with more powerful engines, cars that are faster, better looking, or more practical and with bigger fuel tanks, the luxus vehicle is safest bet, suitable and reliable to everyone, not that everyone can afford one. It's about a mix of all those factors in a way that grants reliable premium experience. Likewise Iphone is no brainer for many people, given they have enough money to buy a decent phone.
Apple's marketing and profit margin is different story.
Guess it also is part of the feeling that since product was so expensive it's gotta be good and gives that safety feeling that no worries this is indeed best product, reliable in all key areas and looking decent and premium.
Sony having Samurai approach misses out on delivering unique experience by each new generation, which Samsung does better.
Xiaomi is actually, well, being best at delivering best experience both hardware and software per lowest price point, design is a mix of generic Iphone like phone, now with Samsung like rounded edges on back, while UI while being Android seems more like IOs, yet with all the features that Android has amd Ios doesn't. Really copying, mimics everything that works... and brings it at lowest price possible.
So no wonder many people would love to have such device compared to not just X Performance, but to any phone.
That's because they sell only in there country and anything from there is over exaggerated in numbers by sales volume, wake up people its a gimmick that influenced by company paid marketers to hype there products on websites like this one.
AnonD-122669, 29 Feb 2016MI's advantage here is that their phone line is already established whereas X line is new &... moreYeah but Xiaomi doesn't do a lot of international business, so they'll already have a handicap to Sony

Companies are allowed to have more than just one flagship, it's called choice. However they must ensure all their flagships live-up to that standard, this is where our conversion about Xperia X Performance was last left.

We do agree this thing isn't properly thought-out to be a flagship device, but could you please tell that to Sony?
