dafaq will somebody play games together with the emulater ( with plenty of issues ) i rather buy the console to play the games without problem.
Sure thing... you are so right, I am a hard-core gamer myself... I have a psp console and a ps3... playing games on them is the best because of dedicated buttons... on a phone virtual buttons are difficult... My point was only that we see these othere gadgets slowly fading away because of the improvement of cellular phones...
The PSP gaming is good for it's time spent on the market. The best game on the PSP was Mortal Kombat 2 and Deception, Phyfon Filter,God of War,Gran Turismo,Tom Clancy,Rainbow 6 etc

Sad news, I still have... moreModern combat and asphalt are somewhat good games on mobiles. Top games are runners or candy crushing games and some still like bird slinging games. In my opinion GTA San andreas is best game for mobiles.
How does all that compare to games like Chains of Olympus/Ghost of spartan. Yea GTA san andreas is good game but vcs and lcs on psp is much better. FF Crisis core, tekken, silent hill ................ list keeps on going. That is from years old console.
I wish people try out games other than crushing candies. I have 3ds as portable console with me now and i use surface pro 3 on the go too and my mobile (HTC M8) has no games at all.
is not powered by deca-core Snapdragon 1820, 16gb of ram and a 8k dispaly,
is the best hand held gaming device ever.

Sad news, I still have my PSP, DS, 3DS and PS Vita, smartphones are indeed killing these handhelds because people say "I can game on my smartphone!" and then they compare a game like pokémon or Mario to angry birds....
So sad
The Japanese store has been gone awhile.
This makes logical sense. Part that has gone is the framework for the store on the portable devices. Which not that many people are using (the official store, for the older PSP units).
From the point of view of us end users, not much will change.
And the PSP versions of a lot of games are still worth playing, though most of us have moved on to Vita for playing them.
My PSPGo is so seldom fired up (the last time I turned it on, it went online, and hosed my 200 games that I had authenticated as official roms, on an official firmware device), but like any dedicated gaming device with full price games, is always worth a play.
Outrun is a go to game, that modern phones attempt to make playable (race games) with touch and tilt controls (I get that wireless controls can be paired up with phones, and that some holders with physical buttons exist),.. Dedicated gaming units (with physical buttons) just kill the casual gaming experience on most tablets and phones.
Sure, some games are written for touch screen devices.. But the tight gameplay that actual game systems have mean that a far wider selection of full games, are available.
Out run as an example, having played some of the best similar titles on touch screen devices (without a dedicated controller), just isn't the same thing.
SO, I reckon dedicated gaming consoles do DEFINATELY have a place.
Several 3DSs and Vitas in my house are testimony to how much more fun playing games are on those platforms.
(Though I am tempted to pay for Legend of Grimrock for tablet, remote play streaming Grimrock 2 from my top tier PC is more likely to happen, and free to implement)

So people will still buy these things because they want to play games, that's it. It's a console, it's built for gaming. And there are games on a psp that are still better than the games on Android or iOs. Have you played FF12 DISSIDA2 on your CP? I have, but I still used PPSSPP and to be honest, even the SD801 and the Adreno 330 experience Frame rate drops on certain parts of the game.
So to conclude, Consoles are still somewhat more capable In gaming than smartphones.
AnonD-387078, 01 Mar 2016Well was my fav portable gaming console! Same here... ...R.I.P. PSP (partly) :/
Cellular phone are taking over the world killing every gadget out there... who would see the need to buy a hand held gaming console when their cellular phone can do gaming just as good... why would you buy a gps navigator (Tomtom or Garmin) when your cellular phone can navigate even better... who still goes to an internet café when they 4G speed in their pocket... few people if any still buy digital cameras because of the same reason.... people loose jobs because this... very sad...
Well was my fav portable gaming console!
