Anonymous, 01 Mar 2016Apple is number 1 in rest of China too. But its easy to collect data, using surveys, from urba... moreI would highly doubt this....
Urban is indicating areas with employment and higher income (who have necessary cashflow to buy better products), I am pretty sure when you are earning $2 a day, you are not buying Sony and Apple products. At least Sony has lower price point items (as does Moto and HTC, Samsung etc) otherwise cheaper upstart brands and locally made stuff (maybe not even available on the world market) might change/skew the data.
India is getting systems in place to sell other world markets second hand Apple products.
Perhaps they have become such a status symbol that people prefer to be seen wit h Apple, or perhaps they are long lasting products that, with a little refurbishment can easily be resold and will continue to perform.
Heck maybe iOS just runs so efficiently on older hardware that second hand units makes good resale sense.
I kinda think it is the status symbol aspect, but, truly they are recognised as a reliable and premium part.
Seems like an article to build brand recognition and I question who commissioned this, and why... Clearly whoever commissioned this found data they wanted to share,.. and here 'tis!
amed, 01 Mar 2016i consider eu = 5 countries 5 out of 7 areas show samsung the winner. Very wise people.US consists of 50 states. Very wise people indeed!
1st, 2nd, 1st Pretty decent I'd say ;) It's also important for most of you reading this to note, that India wasn't included in this list... So deflate your over inflated ego's with your even larger population.
im just not a fan of surveys, there just to easy to manipulate. they should just be called rumor mill and nothing more. because it is way to eay for a company to skew the results with random sampling. geography and everything plays into the outcome. I could conduct a survey of 1000 randomly sampled people living in cupertino working for apple about what there next smart phone is going to be. could you guess the result? then i could call it a random sampling and apply it across entire areas and call it the norm.
Harmonica, 02 Mar 2016samsung copies everyone .. full stopSorry man but everyone is copying everyone! Iphone is copying htc. huawei is copying lg and so on so don't hate on samsung. And now xiaomi is copying samsung for the dual edge on the back. So why don't you keep your hate to your self. Do you see me hate on apple. They have good phones but SERIOUSLY 16 gb and no sd-card. WOW that sucks....
Iphone i China most popular ? i think its fake ,most of the phones are huawei ,mi ,samsung and than apple
the US and China are obviously biased towards their home brands leaving the EU as the only unbiased market. Alas - Samsung is the best mobile phone.
Harmonica, 02 Mar 2016samsung copies that third rated brand blindly.. lolSamsung copies crapple, crapple copies Samsung. That is business.. the end of story - Samsung makes all the technology innovations and produces majority of parts including for iPhones. even the ones they don't produce are licensed for somebody else to produce. and apple is just empty brand name without technology on board, just some cheap 3 eyars old parts and fancy marketing.
