really bloated ...terrible.... too much memory for nothing new in fact ... so if a 32 user tuns in 16 then 16 turn around 6-7 gb awfull,,,,,, so sd card is mandatory.
Beyond, 02 Mar 2016Samsung takes 8GB. How about Sony? Sony take 12GB, can be seen on Xperia X.Sony take 6.5GB can be seen on xperia M
S6 takes around 6.57gb and around 25 gb is available so even if s7 takes 8gb of system storage then also around 23.5 gb should be user available which I think is not a problem. But I must say 6-7 gb is more than enough for os. Sad that even improved touchwiz is a storage hogg
Tom-Helge, 02 Mar 2016Yeah, but contains the fraction of the features the TouchWiz ROMs contains though.Touchwiz don't offer anything that can't be had with a app.
its better to offer pure android as option for any android phone, its faster and less problems.
Anonymous, 02 Mar 2016Faster Android and security updates are more important than the useless bloatwares of Touchwiz. They should launch S7 with stock Android and put Touchwiz launcher in the play store and I'm sure that this way is better for users and Samsung.
Nate, 02 Mar 2016How much space does TouchWiz actually take up?Well, you see that doesn't really matter. TouchWiz actually takes up about 2-3GB, but because the internal memory is partitioned where the system and cache partitions take up 8GB, only what is left is accessible to the user. I use CyanogenMod 13 that is actually only 280MB, but because I haven't repartitioned my phone (from it's original software) I only have 10GB of 16GB left.
A lot of people don't understand how these bloatwares takes up space. Stock Android takes at least 5GB of storage space. While in this phone, The Android system itself uses 5GB of storage, Samsung added 3GB more (Touchwiz) so the whole system takes 8GB of storage space leaving the rest. So in conclusion, Touchwiz is a lot lighter compared to the past.
Faster Android and security updates are more important than the useless bloatwares of Touchwiz.
AnonD-411799, 02 Mar 2016none of those devices provide stock android. nexus & motorola use the stock android. touch... moreThat's why I don't buy Samsung devices, simply because they don't offer good experience as stock android.
Samsung takes 8GB.
How about Sony? Sony take 12GB, can be seen on Xperia X.
LOL... And you have android fanboys like tcool saying that 32 gb with no SD is enough....
