Micromax basically got their phones contract manufactured in China and sold in India.Crappy quality with nothing called after sales svc.RIP all Indian (chinese rebranded ) Phones.
They made hay while there was no competition. Now they are finished.
Micromax, xolo,Lava,Intex etc are finished. They are just disposing off their unsold stuff. Will vanish in a couple of months.Employees better start looking for new jobs.Make in India.
I have purchase Micromax Canvas A311, thereafter 9 months some touch problem created, I submitted said instrument to Microtech Services at Santacruz (West) for repair on 27.2.2016, but still no reply / no feedback, they are not able to repair, still my phone is lying with them.
Micromax (nothing like anything), its correct nothing like micromax.
Tucking Fypo, 04 Mar 2016but it also had bad after sales in the feature phone days and so was samsung and sony ericsson... morecheaper not only mean poor after sales..
and even if we consider only after sales , nokia and apple had better after sales than anyone else..
Harmonica, 04 Mar 2016nokia is/was not a cheaper brand to begin with but it also had bad after sales in the feature phone days and so was samsung and sony ericsson. But your exclusive hate for samsung which shows in your profile shows that our argument is not fruitful. In a nutshell it is extremely idiotic to compare micromax with any tier1 brand.
mob master, 04 Mar 2016How many years????3rd grade until when it was struggling to manage its RAM ;-)
Jin1234, 04 Mar 2016Very true. Most people internationally never even heard of Micromax. Micromax truely a third c... moreleave mwc bro you don't see micromax patents and r&d. You gotta have innovation to show in MWC and CES. Even brands like xiaomi, huawei have their own design language. Micromax simply rebrands locally available chinese phones and has no recognition of its own. There are idiots who compare micromax to samsung and other tier1 brands, for them "the grapes are sour"
Company which do not innovate, provide quality service and not even latest software updates is deemed to demise.
Harmonica, 04 Mar 2016samsung too was in a same state few years backso was nokia 20 years back and samsung 10 years back in india...you don't compare a brand which has its own design, own patents and own r&d with a brand which re brands local chinese phones.
Micromax will not stand and win against this Chinese attacks. They r just keep coming and giving good mobiles with lower prices. (Lower then micromax also).i don't see any comeback from micromax. Its latesr flagship mobile,Canvas 5(different from canvas 5 silver), not known by many.
Harmonica, 04 Mar 2016samsung too was in a same state few years backHow many years????
Tucking Fypo, 03 Mar 2016micromax is a third class brand with non-existent after sales and support service. samsung too was in a same state few years back
Micromax have to rethink about after sale support . give latest software updates
if micromax wants to back in market then they have to launch new mobile with new software and they relay improve their service center .
No updates. poor service. Low quality hardware for price(you pay 10k INR for a 5k phone). Big screen Low resolution. Awful camera.
Furthermore they want to conquer T.V market and abandoned Mobiles...
You see Americans and Indians aren't so different, afterall. Both are willing to abandon supporting local business and sell their souls to the Chinese in exchange for low low prices. Its interesting you think the last remaining developing countries being the last countries to develop would at least have learned something from current developed countries mistakes, guess not.
Indian slack attitude will not work in the market place anymore, as highly competitive Chinese manufacturers enter the Indian market with cut throat competition in both phone hardware and software. Indian phone manufacturers have to wake up to the true reality of things or else face the consequences. In a way it is good. A wake up call for the Indian phone manufacturers to improve product quality and customer service. Either keep up or drown !
In today's environment. Competition is so much, but are products good enough? Many companies launch products because of how Android is available off the shelf for these manufacturers.
But we cannot call this competition as these companies survive because of the price points their are in they are nothing but making hay while the sun shines. Its not disruptive as they don't innovative but only copy the big players and use the Android platform. To come to thing these fly by night operators might have pulled down revenues of large players. But in the long run it remains to be seen whether propriety software will wrestle back.
