mir, 04 Mar 2016Mac computers are specced accordingly with their price tags. Why don't Oculus adapt their hard... moreBecause need more raw graphic power. Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 are 1080p gaming card. But they are running 2160*1080 @ 90Hz. So your blame is wrong. You should blame apple for not giving you those powerful card.

To the rest of us our place has places to which we've gone dozen times and all contemporary. I'd love to have a time portal in my place too so that to throw away the VR goggles.
Dudi4, 04 Mar 2016You can't be that stupid....And how stupid is that? Is it not fact that at present Mac simply is NOT an ideal gaming platform?
Anonymous, 04 Mar 2016what is the definition of a proper laptop or computer? why are people saying that Mac's are no... moreare you serious ? good pc it means it run everything, powerful apps ( 3ds max , PS , AAE etc ) , games ( mostly new one ) and price tag is less like half then apple top MAC that cant run games atleast from 2 years back. if you want spent 3k $ for laptop that cant run simple games from 2015 is your choice , I prefer spent 1500$ and run every game I want and keep rest of the money in pocket ;)
Oculus Rift will arrive on Mac if Apple "ever releases a good computer .....Lol Lol
Anonymous, 04 Mar 2016do people use VR that much? on the part of the world where i live, they dont wear VR, they jus... moreI certainly hope salaries there are good, since with our salaries the furtherest place we can see is work place. Not enough money to visit a neighbouring town.
Oculus Rift is only for Apple haters. We, the elite, the united Apple brothers in arms know better. We like things classical, stone age style, surging ever closer to the bronze age with innovation.
do people use VR that much? on the part of the world where i live, they dont wear VR, they just go places to see them.....
what is the definition of a proper laptop or computer? why are people saying that Mac's are not a proper laptop or computer? just because the base price is much more expensive than windows? or because they lack processing power on the spec sheet? i would buy a PC if it was as good as a Mac, but then, what is your definition of 'good'?
mir, 04 Mar 2016Mac computers are specced accordingly with their price tags. Why don't Oculus adapt their hard... moreThe only way to adapt to what Apple offers is reduce the frame rate, resolution and/or the field of view. And by doing that you're pretty much ruining the VR experience.
I guess for now, Apple knights are stuck at 30fps with the console peasants.
clap clap clap to Oculus, they say the truth...aiple only do a crap pc's with overpriced tag! and blinds buy it...and now they got screwd by never and i mean never will have Oculus comatible with those pc's (or better saying calculator machines!) LOL

AnonD-362866, 04 Mar 2016Your right. This fight cannot be won. (present day)You can't be that stupid....
AnonD-131386, 04 Mar 2016You are absolutely kidding yourself if you think Macs are priced to hardware accordingly. Macs... morethank god someone pointed that out. Mac's had always been a media-oriented device (editing, and post processing images and vids). never read about its gaming prowess--there maybe some article that I haven't read yet. so its obvious if its not compatible with Oculus Rift, since gaming laptops has to have more processing power than its media-oriented devices...
That is so true, I was actually considering moving from a laptop with Windows 10 to a Mac but I really wanted a good graphics card. I checked Apple's website and for 3000 Canadian dollars, their top laptop, had a cheap graphics card and I was appalled by that.
I ended up buying an open box laptop (with 1 year warranty) 2015 model Alienware 17 in. with a powerful Nvidia GTX 970M for 1460 Canadian dollars (now that's a deal!).
Apple is truly pathetic. I'd rather use Linux than OS X if that's how Apple chooses to be. Still using Windows 10 though =), it has become more stable and has more apps/games.
