This design is great and awesome in my opinion. I think it has boomsound. The front grills works as speakers with bass.
It was leaked in twitter.
It's not software but hardware according to "upleaks"
DAT GIGANTIC BEZEL. And it doesnt even come with front speakers no more..
I have the M7 and only reason I passed on the M9 was the chipset. Was really looking forward to HTC finally bringing it all together, now they get rid of the stereo speakers. My next phone might be the Sony X Performance now.. it has the dual front stereo speakers and has the SD820 chipset as well.
So they have a 5'1-ish screen and space for (hideous) physical buttons and that ugly OCD triggering fingerprint scanner, but NO SPACE for front speakers? Nonsense.
Sad, but my 11 year long journey with HTC is officially over. (Sent from LG V10)
I don't care if it has boom sound or not, it's not front-firing. And there's no iR blaster which I use daily. If this leak is true, HTC 10 will be a downgrade for me.
C'mon HTC why the hell that ugly Samsung home button on the front?! Fingerprint scaner should be on the back. M8 still the best looking.
Strange, as do those from HTC. Something behind this movement. Took actually through HTC 10 phone, and as Samsung S7. Two phones ugly.
guess they don't want HTC 10 to compete with the new HTC Nexus which probably will be a proper flagship...
The design looks refreshing. Way better than M8 or M9 in terms of design.
JJandroid, 04 Mar 2016it has boomsound speakers according to @onleaks...check his twitter pageIts obviously not stereo speakers, just booms ounds software.
i have a htc one m7 and i want to buy a new mobile this year. my first choice is htc 10 but with this crap design i wont go for it. my 2nd choice is mi5.
I think it looks quite nice but no IR port and no stereo speakers means this won't be on my shopping list.
The silver phone looks better than the black one in the photos. However, let's not be negative until it is properly released in stores when we can then try it. HTC all the way for me.
AnonD-491490, 04 Mar 2016The back of the phone looks like a phone made 5 years back. looks like the back of a blackberry bold (5 years ago) lol
Such a regress comparing to HTC One M9. Probably only camera and chipset were upgraded whilst most of other well-known features were damaged more or less or completely removed.
The back looks gorgeous, to be honest, very HTC'ish, I love it., but the front kinda mediocre at best. Considering the specs and design (if the leaks are trustworthy) HTC's upcoming flagship doesn't have much to offer to stand out from the crowd, hopefully, software (smooth and snappy Sense UI) and hardware optimization (like camera and battery, good audio DAC) will be killer features:P Also, one would think, that after removing HTC black logo bar, they would have kept the Boomsound:( Anyway I hope HTC worked hard and it's on its way to recovery. Good luck HTC!:P
