I sure hope HTC makes the nexus devices. They definitely know how to make a beautiful device!

AnonD-513258, 10 Mar 2016This moment, I have a Nexus 5 ... I was planning to buy the 5x but now I don't know what to do... moreNexus 5X's Snapdragon 808 is overheating, i'd rather go for HTC Nexus. but it would really be a pity if they remove the BoomSound Speaker :/
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2016Google should give Sony a chance.Well, sony phones are great in terms of performance due to software optimizations, not for the specs, so they won't really work well on a nexus since it'll be using stock android.
This moment, I have a Nexus 5 ... I was planning to buy the 5x but now I don't know what to do ... buy the 5x or wait for the HTC Nexus phones ...

From a consumer point of view they were seen as the best way to ensure the latest Android updates would be available, and that carriers wouldn't get in the way/delay the rollout of important security updates.
Nexus should represent the best that Android can deliver, so it typically matched itself with the best selections of hardware to ensure the OS ran smooth.
I personally am glad Google has chosen HTC as their 'go to' company to achieve this goal.
HTC typically hits it out of the park when assembling technology to these design ideals.
Much success to them.
Seeing the old Android in picture remind of how awesome it was use it.
AnonD-507364, 09 Mar 2016Are you stupid? The Nexus program is a 50-50 profit for both HTC and Google. When did they decide to discuss the percentage of profit on this deal with you?
AnonD-367917, 10 Mar 2016My opinion here is that Nexus devices were not meant to be budget... And why this news piec... moreWell the Nexus 7 was meant to be budget friendly. It pretty much started the race for the best budget tablet to be fair.
i really don't know what to expect but one thing is for sure, the build will be great but battery life will disappoint, that HTC for you.
Even before I read any further, I love the design concept shown. Brilliant.
I love HTC for quality and lovin the A9. what a gorgeous professional device.
In Singapore we do not have official Nexus phones. Whatever we get are export sets with zero warranty which is quite sad i guess.
I would love to get my hands on a HTC made Nexus.
As many have said, they make good quality phones. Since i started using HTC (HTC Touch was my first which was on windows platform), they've had great mid-end to flagship phones throughout.
AnonD-204927, 09 Mar 2016This is one rumor I hope is very wrong. Remember the Nexus 9? And they were charging a premium... moreMy opinion here is that Nexus devices were not meant to be budget...
And why this news piece is one of the best bits of tech news I have read in a wee bit.
When HTC made Nexus' it was worth having.
Hopefully we will get proper tough glass (dragontrail/gorilla etc) and that HTC can support this product into all relevant markets with a strong presence.
AnonD-77892, 09 Mar 2016nice try HTC... this zero feature ui or OS itself wont save you from hell to heaven... oh wait :DZero feature ui and os...??
