So hope Google take a step away from the flat and boring "material" GUI philosophy and instead opt for something with at least a bit of character and soul.
Why can't we have a device that looks good as much as it is practical? If the OS is going to run flat colors all across the device, why not at least let the user choose the colors they see. We have these awesome displays going to waste with these flat and lifeless graphical elements. Symbian had more "life" for god's sake.
Wooah! those features are awesome, and you can see that it's more light and fast too.
P.S. bring in dark theme for android
With Android N update, Mobile Manufacturers will take less time to release updated Android.
So we need to wait and watch how things will go on after it's released in the market.
looks cool but one thing. its not an ios so i will say no to that
divis200, 10 Mar 2016You obviously avoided telling me the reason to change the resolution. In VR the resolution cha... morejesus long post ok lets go:
ok i was wrong about sony's implementation, about force touch on android is has been on android since 2009 on API lv 5.. if you want a nowadays application look to the gionee s8, i am your teacher :) you've learned something new today buddy
my reasons of having the ability to change resolution is the reason games allow you to tweak your graphics settings, a person could significantly extend their battery life or frame rate and (less work/rendering for your gpu it isnt rocket science)
and it is a fact that vr content is limited RELATIVELY speaking, compared to NON VR content, to your point about me developing myself currently i am not capable of doing so ,no need for ad hominems.
to your point about "magically get more pixels" of course not, this isnt interpolation like in cameras, common sense would tell you the context would be along the lines of lowering the resolution of your phone or increasing it to what its hardware/software limits it to be
i also made no attempt to discuss resolution change being applied to VR please focus
Who's care about copying things! We customers want to get what we want and be more convenience, that's it. No benefit for us to argue about it.
AnonD-387177, 10 Mar 2016There is Marshmallow out for like 6 months, and 90% of devices doesnt have it and Google start... moreYou stupid, 90% doesn't need the latest or greatest. stop complaining everything. go back to sleep.
They said Lolipop was gonna be battery saver. It worsened battery life of my Samsung S4. I dont trust Google and its updates anymore.
There is Marshmallow out for like 6 months, and 90% of devices doesnt have it and Google starts with Android N. What N? android Nothing?
AnonD-472910, 10 Mar 2016its the mindset of NOT accepting phones as JUST phones is what made them SMART today and that ... moreYou obviously avoided telling me the reason to change the resolution. In VR the resolution changing would do something better? Do you expect that devices would magically get more pixels if you just set it on higher resolution because I hope you don't want lower resolution for VR because it's still lacking in it a lot. Btw about sony allowing to change resolution... It does NOT allow that. The resolution only changes to 4k when watching videos or pictures and stuff like that, but it doesn't stay like that. It's only 1080p all the other time because the phone couldn't keep up with some tasks at 4k and would start to lag badly, if it wouldn't lag then all of the pictures, icons and all these stuff would take 4x the space the 1080p resolution takes and it would make the os take much more space. The statement "Of course it's not going to happen" was meant about battery performance. Read the previous sentence. Now talking about those gimmicky features like force touch. What the f*ck are you talking about. Android doesn't have it. It's apple which has it. Where did you gather your information from? A cave maybe? VR content limited? All that limits it is, first, the power, which the phones don't have and pc needs a lot of too and second, the developers. If VR was more accessible to everyone and more interesting then the developers would start doing something for it. If the developers start something then it would be un"limited". Why are you talking so big. Just start developing something for it yourself instead of waiting. Android is open source. Nobody restricts you from doing anything with it. Do you expect everything to be done for you without any input from you? Your post shows that you cannot read and also don't know anything about the features you are talking about, so please do your research before replying to me. If the next post your write is as stupid as the one I'm replying to, then I won't reply again.
