Others don't understand that although features like video calling has already been around for a couple of years on other phones, it's not really used by users due to their frustrating performance. With the iphone4, it would be a smooth running feature that users can really use and enjoy.

iphone 4 will sell like crazy. nice design, nice features, nice screen resolution ( have to see it to make a final decision). Most new features are actually not new at all. Multitasking, creating folders, facetime - calling video calls facetime dosen't make it a new invention, and only working on wifi and iphon to iphone!!!! WTF - are not new at all.The video on apples site is a f****ing joke. They act like they invented all those features from strach. Those features have been around since 2005. lets see how the overclocked 3gs processor hadles the new screen and 720p video. T%o make a final call i'll have to play with it. I work at vodafone so when its released in Australia I'll have a play with it but i highly doubt i'll give up android and get an iphone. Have to admit though...the apple app store kicks ass.

Apple promises excellent quality video call and delivers on them. Not some cheap crap unused feature on a stone-age N series device.

I cant believe the amount of anger towards the iPhone... and i am sure 95% of those people have never used one. I used to bag the iphone but after using one for a few days i will never go back to nokia.
There are now less and less things for haters to go on about.... now has multi tasking, now has folders, now has 5MP cam, now has HD video, now has HD screen etc etc. And the reason the iphone is a sucess is they do most things better than others. i.e. no other phone has a screen as good as the iphone (resolution, sensitivity etc) no other phone has audio as good etc.
If you dont like it fine, but something else!!
Having said that i do get peeved with the way jobs carries on about new features which have been out for years.

Symbian UI is crap. N8 looks like a cheap-china model compared to iphone 4. And needless to say, android UI is also crap. These OS are good for school kids.

Dialogue: "Dude now we can video call, ONLY if you have an iPhone 4 though!" "Oh.. but in Europe how come people can video call anyone else as long as they have a video calling capable phone??"
Come on really.. you not only need the other user to have an iphone 4, video calling is restricted to wi-fi only. So I'm talking to Jimmy on my iphone 4 and he on his, and I hit the button to connect for a video call only if we both have wifi access. Lame. If we both had wifi we could just use Skype. I'm the first to tell you how much Apple blows, but this is squarely on ATTWS and the US network limitations. I was doing video call on my Sony Ericsson P1i in 2006 when I was in Europe.
I just really hate that Apple is playing it up, and now I'm going to have to hear it from all my friends saying that the iPhone is THE BEST phone out there and no other phone has the capabilities it does.
This phone is great and a new break through for Apple, I might buy it when my contract expires.. or I just might go with the HD2 with Tmo... well timed Apple, well timed.

I hate the iphone (and pretty much every Apple product except Macs) But This iphone 4 is really catching my attention. Beautiful design and craftsmanship. It makes Android phones look like sh&t. I really want an iphone 4 but i refuse to go to ATT or stick with EDGE on Tmobile and All Current Android phones dont get my attention other than My Nexus One but its CRAPPY build quality is killing me and want to sell it quick but theres no good phones out there and Tmobile have their heads far up their @sses with the Mytouch Cr@p. Ive had it with my Nexus One's touch screen issues and dust collecting under the screen!!!!!!! GOOGLE CHOOSE SHARP OR SONY ERICSSON FOR THE NEXUS 2 PLEASE!!!!!

I guess I will have to give up waiting for Microsoft to get their act together and finally jump ship and move to Apple iOS4. At least I know what direction Apple is heading. Apple are great with every new release one can get upgrades for free with extra goodies. Microsoft, stuffed if I know what they are up to. Microsoft just seem to sell and run, no goodies, no upgrades unless you buy a new phone perhaps I should consider dumping my Laptop as well and move to apple.

it fast as hell and it's using ARM11
and yes symbian is the lightest smartphone OS ever made
that's why it doesn't super rediculous hardware
symbian and linux are similar very light , customizable and doesn't alot to run properly

It can make you vote for Bush, it can make a holocaust seem necessary, and it can make a useless thing become a must have. Not to mention the video on apple's page, it makes me laugh how they say about things over 3 years old as they have invented the wheel.
As long as there are voids to fill on people's minds, these things will keep happening.

Still, I think it is a fair price. I just bought my HD2 from T-Mobile for the stunning amount of $500. Not that I'm trying to compare things, that wouldn't be fare.
