I say iPhone is the best even if Samsung makes an invisible phone
AnonD-442781, 13 Mar 2016Z5 has similar screen size and battery, but has endurance rating of 73 hours, and it has only ... moreAs if all sony phones are like that. And I am not even generalizing samsung even other users have the same sentiment. You're no better so stop generalizing!
with regards to batery usage, it really depends on how you use the phone. if you are using the phone heavily (continious use of the phone) with regards to games, data usage any given day then battery will not last for a day. however for average phone usage who are just using the phone for basic needs phone calls, sms, web search a little bit if needed and play a game for past time then the phone's battery will last on any given day.
no matter what kind of phone you have battery usage will always depend on the user unless there is a deffect on the batter or the phone itself.
Oh the battery geek would be sad with this result.... hahaha
Vasi, 13 Mar 2016These tests are total nonsense. Are u telling me that I can get about 25 hours(9.34+14.50hrs) ... moreNo.
They made a misstake.
GSMarenas endurance figures are always based on 1 hour of surfing, 1 hour of calls and 1 hour of video per day.
actually when the writer said the chrome browser wouldn't have maid much difference, it would have sent it to second on the list.

non fenomenal result, even note4 still better than s7
mixa, 13 Mar 2016Not impressed at all, specially for a phone that costs so much. Sony still king of the hill on... moreyou mean king of bezels???
AnonD-442781, 13 Mar 2016Batteries only decrease noticeably after 3-5 years. And when I say noticeably I mean enough to... moreNot true, batteries degrade a lot faster than that with heavy use. Fast charging accelerates the rate a battery degrades because of the higher heat.
I never noticed substantial battery life reduction on the first 3 galaxy notes.
I have had my Note 4 for 18 months (because the GN5 has no SD card) and had to replace the battery the other day. A rough estimate, i'd say it was down to 60% of the original battery life. It would get to 20% or so then drop instantly to 3-4%. I have used this phone heavily for gps and other.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2016Samsung started galaxy 6 battery life from 62h and after many days did up it to 72h only on pa... moreduh, maybe you should read how the battery tests are run.
If you have everything running and syncing and are always on 4G and playing games you wont last 12 hours.
AnonD-507785, 13 Mar 2016A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. T... moreZ5 has similar screen size and battery, but has endurance rating of 73 hours, and it has only 1080p screen. Sony aren't much better, and are potentially worse.
AnonD-507785, 13 Mar 2016A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. T... moreDont compare oranges with apples, s7 has a 2k screen sony Z compact not.
As a s7 owner im impressed with the battery life, always on display turned off of course.
mixa, 13 Mar 2016Not impressed at all, specially for a phone that costs so much. Sony still king of the hill on... moreSony's battery suck big time. I'll take s7 over Sony's phone any time.
Not impressed at all, specially for a phone that costs so much. Sony still king of the hill on the same capacity.
AnonD-507785, 13 Mar 2016A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. T... moreyour saying Sony is the battery king of all smartphones? And Samsung should learn from them? maybe do some research first? and your medium use could be different to everyone else?
Samsung started galaxy 6 battery life from 62h and after many days did up it to 72h only on paper and then back it to under 70h!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but my galaxy s6 can't stand to 1day full use and after noon it needs to charge again!!!!!!!!!! and about galaxy s7 the big question.does it stand for more than 1day with moderate to high usage????? I don't think so.then I'd rather saty on galaxy S6. Samsung please don't cheat us.thanks
AnonD-507785, 13 Mar 2016A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. T... moreI think billion dollars corps sure know what they are doing unlike what you think. Sony doesn't have amoled screens on their Xperia series to manage or not all those defaut soft/hard features making the "Galaxy brand" if you like to compare your device usage.
A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. They can squeeze a lot of juice out of their batteries. I still remember my shock when I bought Z1 Compact. Couldn't believe that I can go for 2 days on medium use. I really hope, that the technology of the batteries will change soon. Just stop everything else, work on that for awhile.
