Anonymous, 13 Mar 2016Just curious to ask: Are there people who would worry about the burn-in issue and a swollen ba... morethat is no longer a typical type of battery that can swallows for a long period of time randomly or in a very intensive of used... that battery is called "Karbonn Titanium" baterries. it was made for a very longer usage life that can also support a fast charging and a very heavy usage activities.
Trust me! burn-in were never happened in smartphones with amoled display's history... that is just a speculation that it could happened for using amoled for a very long period of time. if you heard/read anything about it from those user around that say they experience it with their amoled smartphones those are just a prententeous users who are just trying to troll or something...
Just curious to ask: Are there people who would worry about the burn-in issue and a swollen battery when planning to purchase a phone ?
AnonD-514121, 13 Mar 2016I've been able to view my screens in the sunlight on my Samsung phones since 2014. That featur... morebeing n°1 on market share has nothing to do with the best phone, i don't know why you LG fans and Samsung fans keep fighting in the end it's just a peice of metal and glace everyone will buy the peice of metal that he likes that all !
AnonD-514108, 13 Mar 2016Wow. Your ignorance of this phone is just astounding. Life proof is making a case for the ... moreI've been able to view my screens in the sunlight on my Samsung phones since 2014. That feature is not nee at all!! It automatically brightens when the sunlight hit the screen. I know your lying about screen burn in on the s7. I've had my s7 edge 2 weeks and there is no sign of screen burn in. Users can change the screen resolution type if they like. I've never had screen burn in on any of mu QHD Samsung displays. Keep thinking LG phones are beating Samsung devices. Last time I checked Samsung and Apple has majority of market share. Samsung has majority of android market share the others combine that's HTC, Motorola, LG and others. Samsung is the number 1 supplier for android. Even last year they still manage to be number 1. Samsung still the number 1 manufacturer in the world. I'll keep going if you like😏😏

Life proof is making a case for the ... moreWow, newly created profile just to reply to me. Lol.
What removable battery when you have a battery that can last all day with intense usage and still have 20% left at night? I DONT EVEN have to remove the battery to last all day vs removing and replace with a charged battery - waste of time.
Not to mention the battery size of the G5 is rediculously small. You probably need to swap 3 batteries a day- useless. Buying a power bank and we can use it for s7, s8, or even s9. Getting a battery for g5? Only for g5? What a waste of resources.
Not to mention, each modular cost extra pennies too. Why the camera module when I can double click my home button and im good to go. If I want anything that works similar to a camera with all the camera buttons, I will buy a camera. Don't need to reboot and insert the lame ass camera module with no benefits at all. I rather carry an extra REAL camera than carrying a module that wants to act as a camera.
Brighter display? You can have the brightest display on earth but what we need is a display that allows us to read under the sun. Also, s7 has a max brightness of 855 nits and g5 only 850 nits. What's your excuse now?
Burn in? S7 hasn't even been shipped to their userS for more than 1.5 weeks? Your lies just proved how invalid your argument is.
I'm using the edge now with my night clock on every night and still no burn in.
Quick charge 3 vs 2? Didn't lg say you will have an extra battery to be charged with a cradle? You know quick charge doesn't apply to cradle right? So your arguments are full of contradictions. So you have an extra battery that is charged by the cradle but you talked about quick charge on a phone?
Also, quick charge 2 doesn't have much difference to the 3. Don't act as if you know it well.
What poll results? Lg and htc win online polls for the past few years now, did that translate into a better sales? How about no?
Life proof case? Thats cute. I'm talking about a case that allows me to use with not only the phone itself, but what if I want to use a case with my camera module on? Can I stil use the same case? In a mind of an ordinary people the answer is- NO.
Don't tell me about s7 vs iphone lol. Lg doesn't even stand a chance to compete with xiaomi.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2016You are very sadHaha I was thinking the same thing. I wonder what country you got to be in to be labelled rich just for having an iPhone or Galaxy S phone.
AnonD-489437, 13 Mar 2016A modular design that won't work for sure.
1. Need to reboot and RESTART the phone everyti... moreWow. Your ignorance of this phone is just astounding.
Life proof is making a case for the G5, so there's a major case that's water proofed.
Yes the phone has to power down to change the battery or a module. That's a real shame I know, because the Samsung S7 stays on when you change its battery.... Oh wait you can't change it
The G5 has quick charge 3.0 vs the S7 2.0 Lol. A 30 minute charge provides 83% vs 50% lol.
Full customization with modules to make the perfect phone for whomever is using it; please do tell the modules the S7 or iPhone have to offer.
Brighter display to view content in direct sunlight than the S7 or iPhone
Utilizes USB C, which will allow the G5 to attach to VR headsets with higher resolution than the Gear VR. Further more the Lg vr headset lenses can be. Adjusted to the users a perscription.
Ips quantum display vs Amoled. Not as deep of blacks but no burn in for the G5. The S7 does have deeper blacks, but I currently already have a burnt display in my S7 after only a few weeks of use.
Also if you look at polls about phones being released this year you have the G5 about 5-10% less interest in the G5 vs S7 Edge, but shows consumers more interested in the G5 vs S7 by 10-15%.
Not to mention there is a lovely video on YouTube of the S7 being derpy on YouTube and getting smashed by the iPhone 6s lol.
over priced for non status symbol, famous brand or well advertised smartphone... this LG G5 must not very closed to what Samsung or Apple did offers with their current flagship... at least Samsung S7 and iphone 6s makes you proud by owning it along... many folks wants a gadget that shows off on news or TVs...
What if I buy it one (LG G5) and tell to my friends, relatives or so that I own it and try to brag it... their reaction is like "So what" "ah okey" "it's that all???" but if it's about Galaxy S or the latest iPhone their reaction is like "wooahhh!!! you are sooo rich lol" "omg! can I be your boyfriend or girl friend xD" "oh sh*t man! where did you get it?" lol
Samsung and Apple are very large company now... this LG G5 might be that premium feel but not too long... LG is just an other OEM way around like the chinese OEMs.
LOL! Samsung boy? don't be jealous becoz ur samesung phone just got beat by this features! ^_^
A modular design that won't work for sure.
1. Need to reboot and RESTART the phone everytime if I want to use the camera module or any other modules- WTF?
2. More moving parts of the phone = shorter life spend of the phone.
3. A water-resistant S7 VS an ugly gap that will trap all sweat and dust- MAJOR FAIL.
4. How the heck do I get a case to protect it? Even LG can't come up with a case to show it off in MWC.- SMH
5. And the main question is, how much will each module cost?
This phone is nothing but a major fail for sure. Nice idea, but bad implementation.
They made good digital products this year. There are some specs I don't like but at least they are thinking out of box, trying to change something and not just follow others. Any company must provide OS updates, features for at least 3 years to keep your customers satisfied.
Good product with bad distribution and support (or maybe bad marketing)
