That's incredible marketing from Google: we are selling something that "isn’t likely to produce a marketable product". Lol, what the ...?
Very aptly put. 100% agree with you.
Some people saw way too many sciFi movies and made the wrong decisions it seems to me.
Robots are a terrible idea born fronmindustrial revolution thinking. Too many moving parts, too many points of failure. Their usefulness is veeery limited only to set scenarios.
Robots are a very bad idea for general uses, they will never take off and future people would laugh our retro type of thinking. Terminator would seem as silly to future people as "a trip to the moon" 1902 movie seems to us.
The moon was *nothing* like how it was portrayed there. The future would (mostly) not have robots as well, apart from very specialized uses. Google missed the future there, robots are an atrocious idea.
Good riddance I say, they always seemed like such a retro idea. Virtual worlds and virtual lives, virtual sensations is the future. The real world is limited...

Very nice!! How much?!?
paco2x, 18 Mar 2016Amazon robots to discipline and punish their rebellious employees. Most likely we will see a bull size robot delivering goods instead of drones. Lol. That will be too awesome not to be miss.
I guess with all the patents syphoned off, there probably isn't much to sell, except for a lot of useless hardware toys ?.
I am customer how much ??
Doubt any non-american firm will be allowed to get their hands on any of that tech. The military will absorb them whole, with black budgets everywhere they will survive but never to be public with their critical progress.
