Yousef Al Salmi, 20 Mar 2016"Now, we understand how those 23% might have been put off by the S7's lack of certain features... moreEach generation costs more than the last, and if they are going to use old tech and remove some, then the margin of profit would increase.
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2016The 23% wern't put off anything. They were the people who only buy the brand they are already ... moreWell said sir.... the S7 is a great phone...
It looks great for the upcoming GN6. :-)
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2016The 23% wern't put off anything. They were the people who only buy the brand they are already ... moreIR blaster seriously? I have a wifi TV and never used my phone as a remote because I never lose the TV remote, infact the only time I use it is for screen casting p@rn on a big screen which I have done only once.
IR blaster is useless but FM radio needs to return.
I am samsung camera big fan boy, s7 camera is great but 1 big function is lost at s7, you can't turn on the torch during taking photo....so sad...it's very useful at s6edge+, and turn on the torch during photo is different from using flash at phone....and please....Samsung managers...give this function option back!!!
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2016The 23% wern't put off anything. They were the people who only buy the brand they are already ... moreWow!!!, head in the cloud fanbuoy much ?.
Ok to state your opinions, but don't state them as facts or those of others.
ljames, 20 Mar 2016How is it a failed experiment? Lol baseless opinion."baseless opinion", how did you work that one out ?. You obviously have no idea what an opinion is.
He has stated his opinion, as noted in his earlier comment, he has also backed up that opinion with his experiences and actually comparing both sets of hardware face to face. How is that "baseless" ?.
Yousef Al Salmi, 20 Mar 2016"Now, we understand how those 23% might have been put off by the S7's lack of certain features... moreThe 23% wern't put off anything. They were the people who only buy the brand they are already with no matter if its not even justifiable , its their brand even if a solid gold rival turns up for a $ they still would fault it, and stay where they are.
Now back to reality,
ir blaster...no one cares, most people who spend this much money on their phone have wifi tv's, or a wifi dongle or they have a chromecast type equivalant, my edge 6+ controls my stuff perfectly with a wifi app.
Type c......no one really cares, its just another name. We've read how fast these phones charge, and that nearly as fast on wireless, to swap data, wifi direct or sd card migration or in an adapter massively nails it.
Battery......no one cares, did we miss the battery life review, maaaaàsive, capacity, and, performance. Strange, when it was apple with only this no one grumbled, wonder if this gives a clue to the origins of the repeated grumblings against samsung, look if apple were ok, and they were, and unless the reviews intend to murder apple every time as well, then, if you add samsung and apple together, you have practically all the phone market...on captive batteries, so shut up, or give it to apple in the neck in every review and thread, as well.
The price....well, blame apple for the prices of the phone market, and remember, they, charge more for less.
bigger screen + better screen to body ratio
and a form factor, apple are up nights, trying to act in videos to convince you they have a rival worth looking at, sir jonoivo in for the next bafta soon.
Just get on with it...samsung have.
surprisingly I am the 23%, and looks like the 23% is the majority.. uups
other than the excellent AMOLED screen, almost in every other aspects Samsung has no competitive edge than the others anymore, and the price/performance ratio is no good at all. (say hello to Chinese phone)
the omission of IR blaster is a deal breaker for me. I own an LG and its so great. next time I will go to Mi5.
I dont know why every time Samsung released their S flagship it always showed up in the top daily interest list of gsmarena. Could it be the power of "Samsung marketing?" (you know what I mean?)
I bought it and sold it very next day as it didn't offer "My hot Keys" which allowed you to serve number buttons for auto refil words you stored in that....
And in gaming, I play Asphalt 8 and it darkens the screen than normal which was very disappointing.
Yousef Al Salmi, 20 Mar 2016"Now, we understand how those 23% might have been put off by the S7's lack of certain features... moreI'm just getting the Edge for the wife.
I can complain for the IR blaster missing, removable battery, and the fact they have reverted back to USB 2.0 from USB 3.0 with the S5 and Note 3. I still got all 3 features and more with the Note 3, having to be able to put in a Zerolemon 10000mAh battery that can last me days of heavy usage.
But for me, I'll never be impressed until they bring all these features back to the Note 6. Note.5 was a failed experiment.
"Now, we understand how those 23% might have been put off by the S7's lack of certain features - the IR emitter has gone missing, and the comments section isn't happy. Type-C USB ports have been spreading quickly, and Samsung doesn't think the time is right just yet. Then there's the non-removable battery"
Ain't gonna put it in a better/another way and this is the reason why I'm with those 23%
Jhon998, 20 Mar 2016So they just remove certain features so when time comes for an upgrade they will surely have a... moreThen at that certain moment it's your mistake if you'll just upgrade
Or wait for the right buy from the first place
macchia nera, 20 Mar 2016For me, lack of a lanyard eyelet is the only thing missing from S7, a big ommision for a water... moreI miss lanyard outlets so much 😢... Had a Nokia N8, dropped it maybe two times in two years thanks to the strap. If you really want one i think you're sruck with either the xperia Z line or the new HTC desire line, right?
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2016How suprising (not)
