Anonymous, 19 Mar 2016I am using Lumia 525 1GB Ram. Its not in the list will i get upadate or should i move to othe... moreShouldn't have bought a lumia in the first place. Plenty of good and cheap android phones out right now.
AnonD-77892, 19 Mar 2016Lumia Icon? Never heard this before...Verizon version of Lumia 930
Why still only "considered"? It should have got the Windows 10 Mobile update till now. It's totally capable and has enough hardware to run Windows 10 Mobile. Seriously, that's really bad from Microsoft
I am using Lumia 525 1GB Ram. Its not in the list will i get upadate or should i move to other mobile?
Ffs, I can't believe how many people read a headline and get the total wrong idea.. Here APPLICATION is being stopped.. NOT here maps.
"Maps" by Microsoft (win 10 default map app) uses Here maps and IS BETTER supported and being improved faster.
It makes no sense for here to waste their time developing if Microsoft are paying devs to make the App.
As a Lumia 920 user, am I alone in perhaps being slightly relieved by not getting the new OS?
The biggest thing I use the 920 for is for HERE Drive so I don't need a dedicated satnav. Considering that support for this in WP10 is being dropped later this year, I can quite happily stick with 8.1 thank you.
Though the recent news regarding HERE and Spotify doesn't fill me with confidence for the OS on the whole though.
If my lumia 525 with 1gb ram doesn't get update than I'm moving to android
time to give up for 512 MB ram users! It's not a good sign. What are you doing Microsoft? That's why you are falling behind IOS and Android.
Herodroid, 18 Mar 2016a thread with a title with a Nokia in it, in 2016?? I thought Nokia died.Nokia never died. I suggest you to visit www.nokia.com to see what they are doing right now.

I thought Nokia died.Isn't it weird that Nokia's stock value doubled when Nokia died ;)
ps. neither 925 even with 1Gb ram seems to get update..we'll the heck with M$..next one will be android again :)
this is what you get from your device manufaturer's. shitty support! only iphone users get the best support. android? its scattered like moths. unless you own a nexus device. no offense, i am a lumia 925 user. its like living in a cave, with thin ray of light as hope which will always be in "coming soon".insider previews are full with bugs!
Icon is basically 930 for verizon. There is no reason for it not being included in the update if the 930 is getting it.
Many of the devices left out have 1gb or more of ram (1020 has 2gb) or are newer than the 1520 which got the update (1320 was released on January 2014, 1520 was released on November 2013).
Their excuse is that the insiders didn't give positive feedback for windows 10 so they decided to drop the update.
Having been an insider on the 1320, I think Microsoft didn't want to allocate resources for software development on their older devices. Many device-specific bugs that were repeatedly reported and up-voted on the feedback app never got fixed.
Since they chose to update snapdragon 2xx phones it is obvious that they dropped snapdragon 400/s4 phones because they didn't want to bother optimizing them.
If the phone's performance on the latest build is the same as the very fist, of course people won't recommend windows 10 and of course you will have negative feedback.
It would be better if they said we won't update those devices because they are out of their 2-year update windows instead of pointing their finger at the insider program.
Actually, it would be better if we had any official response at all. All we have right now is some obscure tweets and devices disappearing from the insider lists overnight.
And the 928! and the 928! and the 928! and the.............crap,
