I was excited to get a deal on the Z5 Compact. Sadly, the best price on Amazon is showing as $429.00 for a US version with warranty. If someone wants an international version without warranty, you could save $6.00! and get it for $419.00
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2016Sony SOLD Z5 Beast out in India Now that's impressive What?
Well right now i am willing to pay an extra $100 if i get the Xperia Z5 single sim variant in my city. Sadly, there aint any which is making me even more sad as i read this price cut's news.
liquidz, 19 Mar 2016The USA version do not have fingerprint scanners, see this: http://www.androidcentral.com/son... moreit does have, but disabled by default. With some tweaks you can enable it. Costs nothing, just your warranty (because needs root for tweak I believe)
Anonymous, 19 Mar 2016US model doesn't have the fingerprint sensor. It does but it's disabled...a quick flash and you can have it up an running in no time.
Check the instructions out on the XDA developers website.
Akinaro, 19 Mar 2016USA have really one of best prices for phones... but carriers literally r@pe them with price f... moreMost don't. While admittedly the internet speeds in my area are out of date (but getting upgraded soon), we get 15Mbps/1.25Mbps download and upload for $35, and no contract. It's also incredibly stable. Not as outlandish as you make it out to be. My phone service is 3GB data and unlimited talk/text for $40 flat per month.

Herodroid, 19 Mar 2016ugh again... price cuts in US when Europe still has tax on a phone... And muricans are sti... moreGermany Amazon got the same price cut. But only till 03.27. with a code, down from 429 to 354 euros.
Tann Hauser, 19 Mar 2016Should be, US variant lacks fingerprint so it is justified
But an amazing device for that priceU can enable the fingerprint with an international Marshmellow version, some US user on xda development tested it. So it was only disabled software side. Which is less hassle for Sony anyway, instead making a hardware adjustment.
Why they disabled it at first place? I guess they read all the negative feedbacks, the fingerprint sensor not reliable. And a lot dont use it anyway.
The US version does not have fingerprint sensors in the home buttons
Wrong. It does have a fingerprint scanner on its power button.
USA have really one of best prices for phones... but carriers literally r@pe them with price for internet.
They can buy best phone for 400$ and they have promotion all the time, but they need to pay 15$ for 1GB mobile internet and in home they need to pay 50$ for really slow 2mbps with 3-4 year contract. That not only is not stable at all, sometimes you need to pay more just because carrier dont have infrastructure that is near your home.
Can someone explain me how its possible that they can live with it?
