I was so excited ... moreJust by saying that iPhone 6s has 1 gig of RAM (that has 2GB of RAM) your comment seems suspicious. But anyone can make a mistake. By saying that it works better than S7 it's obvious you're either blind/a very passionate fan or a troll...
Either way it's wrong.
And if that is really true you may have a bad unit, or some software issues. Try a factory data reset, or wipe cache partition before that, and then check it out. Same goes for bad battery life.
Duel, 23 Mar 2016"I have a galaxy note 10.1 2014 since Oct. 2013 which has 3 gigabyte of ram! I was so excited ... more6s is a phone with far less pixels and far less expectations for multitasking! I guess if you look in internet you can see that Ipad air users are complaining about the crashes because of the limited 1GB ram. Ipad pro will work fine for the moment, but 2GB will force you to upgrade in 1.5 year. The thing that makes me angry is that it costs them maybe 50 cent more to use 3 or 4 GB but still they are so greedy and they are not happy to provide something that works for longer years. These comments are actually true for my usage and I think ipad pro work fine for a normal user probably for over two years.

sr777, 23 Mar 2016Guys Apple is trying to replace PCs older than 5yrs with this iPad Pro. So with all the iOS op... morereplacing pc? lol. i usually laughing at non-technical people who said that. because most of them are easily fooled by apple.
the truth is: in this present day, mobile processors still can't replace old pc processors. my old core 2 duo laptop is a lot better than any ios devices.

I was so excited for an upgrade with ipad pro since there are no real competitors in tablet these days! But after hearing about the Ram amount I am so disappointed!"
This isn't android, my 6s has 1gb ram and it works better than s7 with 4gb, don't be blinded by numbers. Apple devices always have had small amount of ram and yet they work great. If you buy 2gb pro, im sure you never going to say this isn't enough i need 4gb.
sr777, 23 Mar 2016Guys Apple is trying to replace PCs older than 5yrs with this iPad Pro. So with all the iOS op... moreHow can ut replace a five year old pc, in what way? No usb ports, can't run exe, etc, pls tell me how it can replace a pc aside from media.
I don't think the ipad pro is even capable of replacing pc so forget about the ipad pro mini.
IOS machines are smooth with just 1gb of ram. 2gb should be more than enough.
AnonD-517894, 23 Mar 2016I dunno if 2GB are enough for big softwares on the iPad, but the problem to me is that stupid ... moreApple will sell it as a bundle - new ipad + desk with a hole, where you can stick that camera bump (idesk pro). That'll sell like hot cakes XD
Well thanks to 2GB RAM I may opt for a bigger tablet instead of iPad Pro 9.7"
Except it's gonna be Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because iPad Pro 12.9 is a joke.
Guys Apple is trying to replace PCs older than 5yrs with this iPad Pro. So with all the iOS optimization I think they can easily replace those oldies without a problem.
So far, its a good device but pls apple should stop taking aim at the surface by saying its a pc replacement, unless they don't know what a pc is. The surface is sure pc replacement, they can keep on making ipads but for the sake of God they should stop calling their customers fools by tell them that the ipad can replace their pc or MacBook.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 20162gb ram is more than enough in ios ...And Ram Management is very good in IOS...come with outdated spec.
then can get higher profit margin.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 20162gb ram is more than enough in ios ...And Ram Management is very good in IOS...oh yeah all sudden u respect it just because it is ''ape''.. u would agree even with 500mb :D
AnonD-72731, 23 Mar 2016duh! comparing to other smartphones with 4gb ram, for sure this ipad is much much much smoother .so? i know it is smoother than 4gig ram droid.
but for what? it's just a facebook machine. no need fast machine just for facebooking and watching videos.
2gb ram is more than enough in ios ...And Ram Management is very good in IOS...
lol at all these comments... Apple may *seem* dumb but they aren't. Think about it you geniuses, if Apple clocks the Pro 9.7 same as 12.9 and gives it 4GB RAM and 3D Touch, who in their right minds would buy the bigger model?! A good company knows that often, the most competitive item to their products are other products that they manufacture. and they need everything to sell well. all of this makes sense, the lower clocked CPU (not to mention that the screen is lower resolution so doesn't need the full power of A9X, it will also save tons of battery), no 3D Touch and less RAM. You just need to be *KIND OF* smart to realize all this. most of you aren't.
I dunno if 2GB are enough for big softwares on the iPad, but the problem to me is that stupid camera bump... And it's designed for drawing on a table ?
This article is poorly representing/quoting source:
When they were qualifying/discussing 'PC replacement' they had been discussing the 600million odd computers greater than five years of age, still in use.
They qualified the typical usage scenario, and gave solid reason where an iOS device would meet the needs of a 'consumption' user base.
Another article went on to highlight that a six year old iPad doesn't run the iOS Facebook app.
iPads ARE underpowered vs same price PC (you are paying for small form factor/portability, which has power and heat constraints).
A six year old iPad is not the same as the grunty PCs from five years ago (which do have some more leg room).
Anyhow, iPad as a consumption device/what the majority use their personal computers for; is perfectly fine.
The Pro variants do bump up the capabilities.
The slight reduction in processor speed and GPU speed is a non issue,.. this isn't pushing the 5.6million pixels per frame required on the 12.9" Pro.
The memory reduction is still top tier for an iPad, which is a memory efficient platform.
Combine that with very fast ram, and wide (fast) system bus; these things fly.
The speed of the ram and access to that ram, the device could easily load fresh-from the ultra fast storage- anything it needs.
I have the 12.9" Pro, have loaded forty large processes, and at some point it must run out of memory and dump an older app from the pool. Yet everything pings up on the screen instantly.
Using 4Gb of ram? Procreates 16k canvases is only on the 12.9" Pro.
I guess the smaller Pro will be limited to the standard 8k canvas.
A 10" tablet isn't for 16k canvas creation. Nor is a 15" laptop....
The speakers and screen are enough to justify an upgrade from other iPad models.
The A9X and and the GPU are icing
