I hope no employee commits suicide again at Foxconn making this expensive phone, they where doing it literally for free, while apple gaining billions.
I've been having a SIM-free iPhone 3Gs for more than a year now. The phone is great for most part but I would rather go for a top-notch HTC instead. iPhone 4 did not get much expected improvement and i hate Apple for not deploying flash plus too many restrictions on the device by Apple.
Hi.. since iphone4 has been available for pre-ordering, is that Asian (HK) market will be available soon. As I know when ipad has not been in hit by US, you could get 1 in HK/China. Anybody know bout this? Thx..
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2010My wife's iphone contract will end this August. She is trying to decide if she should get iph... moreFella I hear what your saying. I guess your own individual needs are met by a phone other than the iPhone, I guess the missus has the final say though (women eh lol) ha ha
I downloaded a superb free application on my PC which links to iTunes, you import songs from iTunes onto this application and can convert any song, at any point of the song, into a ringtone, click the tab and it automatically sends the ringtone to iTunes. All free of course. Once I sync my phone with iTunes, I get my own ringtone :) I simply love it. I used to think the iPhone was quite restricted but I can download my own movies and own ringtones, im even happier.
See for me the iPhone caters for all my needs. Its fast, its fantastically responsive, its easy to use, there are so many Apps that im only downloading a few at a time every week. Cos you live in the UK like me, you know about TvCatchUp :) And the other TV Apps. Im not really a major gaming person but I did download the Resident Evil demo and thought it was brilliant!
I guess its each to their own but for me the price of the iPhone is competitive compared to other phones out in the market. What the iPhone cant do that other phones can do, other phones cant do what the iPhone can. You see what I mean eh :)
lol! rip off! :)

The iPho... moreMy wife's iphone contract will end this August. She is trying to decide if she should get iphone 4, or Motorola XT701, which costs around GBP347 where we live.
I'm using Milestone right now and she likes to pick my phone for games over her current iphone 3G.
Other than "style / design", which nobody else can match Apple at this moment (as everybody else seems to keep "pumping" new models, but similar looking, every month, unlike iphone, which only releases a new phone every "year), in terms of thinness, and resolution, at this moment.
Not even talking about hard spec's like CPU, but other rather "basic" stuff like using one's own MP3 ringtone (not via itunes), or use the memory card for files transfer (again without itunes!), iphone still can't match with most other competitors.
I've an extra battery with me for my Milestone, which whenever my wife drains out the power for playing game, I can always exchange another battery. But like yesterday she forgot to bring her other phone, and only got her half-charged iphone with her, and battery was dead by the end of the day and I couldn't back her up.
My wife also loves my Missile Shield (Missile Command clone) game on my Android phone, which she can't find anything similar via App Store.
She did look at the preview video of iphone4, so I'll let her decide once she sess the real thing.

The iPho... moreIn singapore, with iphone mobile contract plan tied for 2 years, you will know why iphone is overpriced.
I could get a samsung galaxy for SGD880 and are not tied to mobile plan that cost me SGD98 per month. 98 X 24 = SGD2352
While another low plan cost 48 x 24 = 1152, 2352 - 1152 = SGD1200. Now tell me what you can buy with SGD1200?
You will see the differences if you plan ahead, unless you could bear with iphone 4 for 2 years with the common feature.
Battersea Reach, 16 Jun 2010What Is micro-SIM card ? Is It different than The Sim Card WE Usually Use Now ?cut out most of the white areas on your current SIM and you get your micro-SIM...
?, 16 Jun 2010do they mean UNLOCKED by SIM-FREE... is apple releasing factory unlocked iphone 4s?Some countries, due to legal issues or competition, have been selling iphones being UNLOCKED through official distributors, even with contracts.
My wife's iphone 3G, which was bought nearly 2 years ago, is also unlocked.
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2010it is not 4g phone. it is iphone number 4. the only 4g phone is HTC Evo 4g which truly rocks.the evo sux and the "4g" networks sucks harder
I don't know much about Iphones, but I love the Iphone 4, it is sexy. The only cellular company authorized to sell the Iphone here in Jamaica is Claro, but they only have the Iphone 3G, not the 3Gs, and have no clue if they will ever get the Iphone 4. I need to know if I should get a SIMFREE Iphone 4, if apple should release an OS update would I have to get the phone unlocked in order to use it here in Jamaica ( even though initially I bought it SIMFREE)
email me all information regarding this topic at khbolas@gmail.com
Arron, 16 Jun 2010I do think the iPhone is overpriced..

do they mean UNLOCKED by SIM-FREE... is apple releasing factory unlocked iphone 4s?

KYRAN , 16 Jun 2010it would be a better option to choose a phone that would serve the purpose like the new luanch... morewave is not as good because of bada and galaxy s is almost the same phone with better screen, no led flash, diffrent design. They also cost about the same if you want to buy a 16gb. diffrence there is ofcourse that the galaxy has expandeble memory. I still did not make up my mind because of the android update issue that samsung has.
it would be a better option to choose a phone that would serve the purpose like the new luanches from samsung wave s5800 and the si9000
insted of paying a huge amount for the i phone.
