Lower life span of blue subpixels is known fact!
Next nonsense please...
I will go for LCD.
Because I don't like Samsung phones.

An 720p pentile is the same as a 540p non pentile. Of course the effects are less visible, pixels on a 540p mobile screen are less visible.
They're basically ripping people off by calling lower resolutions as higher.
AnonD-472910, 26 Mar 2016yes i can, yeah for now amoled is cheaper but on average LCD still cheaper, your arguement abo... morelol... the amoled of galaxy s7 is great.. you can check the dis-playmate website.. the always on display on g5 is crap. you can check any review... and check s7's display is great. i don't argue with fools
LCD or Amoled is not a big deal for me if the reviews for that particular phone is good and it will passed all the benchmark then the phone is good. Most company will go for cheap parts but good performance I think then will sell it with a better price.

Lol.
Diff ppl, diff taste...
Some ppls like sweet things, some like sour etc.
Just pick what the most suitable for u.
No need to defend or attck some company
AnonD-289575, 25 Mar 2016L. E. D better than L. C. D... Btw can anyone tell me why does super amoled comes only in pent... morePenTile displays have some advantages over other premium smartphone displays. One is that it is possible to achieve an HD resolution on an AMOLED screen at lower cost than other technologies, and most reviewers note that 720p resolution displays make the PenTile effect less obvious than lower resolution PenTile displays. The second advantage is lower power consumption: the use of a PenTile display makes it more energy efficient and thinner than equivalent LCD screens, giving it better battery life than the
IPS LCD. A PenTile AMOLED screen is also cheaper than an RGB stripe AMOLED. It is also more preferable because Pentile matrix able to produce brighter images compare to RGB matrix with the same amount of power output.
AnonD-472910, 25 Mar 2016i disagree, i would say you have not used a top quality ips like NEO, but apart from that i li... moreThe reason LCD is so widely used is price , Amoled displays are way ahead in all departments except cost
All my phone that uses amoled and super amoled panels usually burns my screen. tsk. its quite annoying to see burn on my screen. ips lcd is enough for me...ips lcd with high ppi not that much ppi.
The next development of OLED screens for smartphones should be 120 HZ or less response time instead focusing on more useless pixels.
AnonD-289575, 25 Mar 2016L. E. D better than L. C. D... Btw can anyone tell me why does super amoled comes only in pent... moreThe reason why they use pentile matrix is the burn-in problem. But it doesn't solve that problem.
http://www.alphr.com/realworld/386635/are-amoled-displays-at-risk-of-burn-in
The PenTile also make the screen more pixelated, so it requires higher screen resolution to hide the pixelation than an RGB LCD.
AnonD-513998, 25 Mar 2016Oh, that's good to hear. I hope they then will finally step up their quality, because most AMO... moreI can confirm your comment. I aslo had a Samsung with AMOLED.
That contrast gradient is a good example of the burn-in. The AMOLED's pixels are used unevenly depending on the color, therefore their degradation will be different. This degradation is the burn-in. That's why it will burn in/colors degrade even if your phone does not display static image for long periods.
I noticed the black crush too. I play games rather than watching movies on phones. Some games have dark scene, and the AMOLED screen doesn't show all details.
Subzz, 26 Mar 2016Direct sunlight? Check out S7 from samsunglike i said GENERALLY lcd have better sunlight legibility and this is a fact because of backlight if quality is equal between both the brightest lcd is brighter than the brightest amoled
AnonD-278523, 26 Mar 2016and why do you think so??? an amoled can be the brightest as well as the deem-est, can have in... moreyes i can, yeah for now amoled is cheaper but on average LCD still cheaper, your arguement about LCD and always on display, please go check out an lg g5 that has even more energy efficiency for its always on display check out the reviews here, you are a liar s7 is NOT colour accurate it is oversaturated and has off TEAL and whites with hues, you said that amoled "CAN BE" brighter i agree because of varying qualities BUT because an lcd has BACKLIGHT the brightest lcd will ALWAYS be brighter than the best amoled, this is not an opinion it is physics so better sunlight legibility ON AVERAGE again different quality screens this result will vary
not to mention no threat of burn ins.
Martin, 25 Mar 2016ips is best.Best at what?
Fido dido 13, 26 Mar 2016Poled means plastic leds ! For flexible screensSo as all other OLEDs
And it means Platic OLED, not LED. It just a brand name. All OLEDs made of flexible organic material.
regs, 26 Mar 2016amoled is a brand of samsung. lg has poled. joled will have... joled, i guess.Poled means plastic leds ! For flexible screens
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2016Just wait for Jdi's amoled; it is going to be more advance than their competitors.By more advanced does that mean it is costlier?
