I am not familiar with Huawei phones, but the P9 interests me. I can't see a home button on it though so can anyone tell me if there are any physical buttons on this phone? Thanks.
I'm hoping, that there will be better colors to choose from. I've never liked silver color on anything, be it cars, phones, watches etc. I'd love to see it in gunmetal color. That would be sweet. Also I'm a bit surprised, that top and bottom bezels a...
So what about the rumored Leica camera? There's not single sign of having a camera or optics made by Leica on this phone. For me such a camera would be a reason to buy it cause I guess it can compete with the optics of Lumia phones. Now I have the S7E but I'm not sure if it is really worth the hype about the camera - especially in true low light situations.
Keithlawyter, 28 Mar 2016Certainly looks ugly. And same design as before. And not to mention, bad camerayou look ugly this phone is a thin 6.4mm and have leica optic best two cameras on front maybe best for 2016 you will see for a week and than your comments maybe is right.
Bye ugly guy!!!
Keithlawyter, 28 Mar 2016Certainly looks ugly. And same design as before. And not to mention, bad cameraYeah...it may look a bit odd, but it always makes me laugh, when someone is making a statement, i.e. "bad camera", about the phone, that's not even out yet. Or are you a Huawei employee, that Q&A this model right now?

Also I'm a bit surprised, that top and bottom bezels are bigger that on Mate8 (that phablet has sick screen to body ratio - 78%!), but I guess it may have something to do with dual camera setup requiring more space.
Those dual camera setup ugly as hell :/ it spoils Appearance of the device... no buy.
Certainly looks ugly. And same design as before. And not to mention, bad camera
Arnob, 28 Mar 2016no one cares about HUAWEI! only NEXUS 6P rocks! And that's where you're wrong. I don't know where you are from, but in Europe Huawei earned it's place last year with P8, and there's a lot of people interested in this years model. Don't be a fanboi, keep your mind opened. Nexus is great, but there are other phones on the market.

Huawei's P line is reserved for phones, same as S line with Samsung. Since Mate 8 have a 6" screen I would assume it's more of a phablet line, much as Note line. If you brand everything under one line, it can get a bit confusing.
There is already a teaser site with some device pictures - http://consumer-campaign.huawei.com/oo/
I was hoping they'd get rid of the white periscope after the leaks. The black one looks ok.
I'm confused about Huawei's lineup. There's the Pseries, then there's the mate 8, it seems like they are selling two flagships mate 8 and P9. As a consumer I'll be confused on what to pick If I'm in for their greatest offer regardless of the screen size. Why not just make a single line up and name it P9(flagship P9), P9max(Mate 8), and P9 Ultra(P9max). Then again there's very little differentiation between Mediapad x2 and P8max. Then there's the thing that P8max is spelled P8max and not P8 Max. Me searching this from Ebay is quite tricky as it shows different sellers under those search terms, so that only means I would have to search twice. I'm still wating for P9max, I hope they give it a 1200 x 1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio is really bad. I'll sacrifice the phone's girth for some horizontal screen real estate. I mean like almost every flagship this time is moving to 16:10 anyway. Not saying huawei should go for 2k as it will hit the battery life, I just like the 16:10 aspect ratio.
