"copying cats robbaring money." this quote is sutable for this 32gb model. for 64gb 21k is optimium.
i was eagerly waiting for 64gb model... very disappointed with that... Its a beautiful phone but 64gb should also be available for those who wanted more powerful and long term phone.... price is also high as compared to china... overall its best phone among this price still it can be better if the 64 varied was available under 26k... happy to see that phone would be available from 6 April and i will also buy it but i am disappointed because 64 variant should also be available here..... #mixed_feeling
Just saving your hard earn money a little more. A coupe of weeks or months and you het galaxy s7 with all the benefits. Think obout that! Think!
I was waiting for this phone for long time in Nepal but due to their higher price tag it will cost me around 50-55k NRs when it hits our market for 32 Gigs version so now I would go for S7 which is available at 70K with beasty Exynos chipset and superior performance in camera department.
Anonymous, 31 Mar 2016only three cons: 1.rattling side buttons. 2. very small fingerprint scanner(poor) and need ... moreI wished for 27k as per Indian Price ,,You would launch at some cheaper price to do good sale in INDIA ..! or we will go with asus or muizu's upcoming phone .
I was expecting Xiaomi to release 32gb & 64gb version initially followed by the ceramic version in a month or two for 28k. Then I saw that only gimped 32gb version will be on offer and that too for 25k, I started hoping Meizu will bring their pro 6 (with exynos and Amoled ) to India and Price it under 24k.
On another note, its pretty distasteful that Xiaomi is only launching the lowest model in India first like Redmi Note 3 16gb and then this Mi5 32gb.
Every company's main interest is your money. People who complain about apple and samsung charging high price for their handset is just purely ignorant.
Xiaomi will get there one day. They won't be selling phones at a very cheap price forever. Once they have gain enough popularity, they will sell their phone at a premium like samsung and apple too. Some people just wouldn't get it.
Also, for companies like xiaomi and others chinese copycats, they don't have to spend R&D to come up with new technologies, they just copy from the big companies that paid billions in R&D. If xiao mi is selling their phones for 200 usd? That's OVERPRICED for a company which doesn't even pay any R&D and just copy people's hardwork.
Shame on them chinese copy cats.
AnonD-79119, 31 Mar 2016Dissapointed that not even the 64GB version is to be sold. Maybe Xiaomi thinks we can't afford... moreWell this is a part and parcel of following xiaomi. I have been waiting for xiaomi mi4, but from the day it was launched till today they only have the 16gb version in my region:)
I am after mi5 pro and im in the south east asia region, do you think I will get my wish? Tell you the truth I thought India will get both the 32 and 64 gb initially... I know it sucks!
Dissapointed that not even the 64GB version is to be sold. Maybe Xiaomi thinks we can't afford it or may be they can't manufacture enough.
Merwyn Fernandes, 31 Mar 2016Redmi 2, Redmi prime, Redmi note are all make in India and most of Samsung LG Sony etc are als... morepaid by xiaomi, that you keep defending them? What about colors then? Why launch only white color variant?
Only 3gb ram for mi5.....its definitely not flagship deal.....3gb ram is now provided even with low end mobiles from lenovo,leeco,meizu,etc....really disappointed
I waited for this phone from november 2015, and i was hoping for the top model to price around 28000.00 but they launched the basic model at 25000.00, better go for LeTV upcoming flagship which won't cost more than 25k and will still offer some better features than xiaomi, Like 2K screen, better battery, and cheap price, 64gb storage
Merwyn Fernandes, 31 Mar 2016They have to pay a huge amount of import duties and shipping and handling costs + they have to... moreDid they have to pay import duty only to this pH???
Because other phones are seems to have exact same price in China and in India exept an extra 9 in the Indian price
only three cons:
1.rattling side buttons.
2. very small fingerprint scanner(poor) and need press to activate.
3. basic model must be rs.20,000 compared to chinese price
