Well.. if real leica, this phone will become $1k price tag hehehe :D
Lol now im hesitating on whether p9 or mate 8 will be my next buy .
Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Twice the light from TWO f/2.2 lens has an equivalent of ONE f/1.56 lens. You are correct. But in reality, it won't even be that bright.
The two cameras will not have equal focal lengths. The P9 not being out yet, we don't know the chosen lengths, but we can look at the LG G5 as an example. The LG G5 has a 75 degree field of view sensor and a 135 degree field of view sensor. So, only 30% of the surface area of the wide angle lens collects light from the same subjects as the narrow angle lens. And 130% of the light from a f/2.2 lens is f/1.92. Nice, but less than the LG and Samsung flagships.
And even this calculation assumes that both P9 lenses will be f/2.2.
The added value of the second sensor isn't more light. The added value is the ability to take wide angle photos without compromising normal/telephoto capabilities.
gcristian, 03 Apr 2016My mate 8 wasnt cheap at all, but i have no regrets huawei Mate 8 is a wonderful device ... huawei devices are a bit cheaper with an excellent build quality compared to other pricey flagships which lags & stutter am talking about samsung devices :) ... nowadays Mate 8 cost in our local market about 559 USD it's price didn't drop that much while Samsung S7 Edge cost about 733 USD that's a high price for a lagy smartphone ... what i meant by cheaper is the price of huawei devices are not too high compared to others & i hope they stay this way.
Advent, 03 Apr 2016like what? @pple?
get ur brains checked pls..Why the insult? People like you ruin comment sections.
Lenovo is an excellent company with excellent laptops. Xiaomi as well, growing rapidly. Oppo makes quality products and have superb blu-ray players. Huawei has a worldwide presence and is also really good!
Advent, 03 Apr 2016like what? @pple? get ur brains checked pls..Dude, he's right, Sony sensors are great, and actually most phones use them. The issue of Sony in regards of picture quality is the post-processing done by their software.
mir, 03 Apr 2016You obviously don't know what you're talking about.Try harder .
oh so that's leica logo? just an ugly fonts? it shouldn't be there, it just makes the phone back looks ugly
E-Knife, 02 Apr 2016F/2.2 is a letdown I love night shots Well, depending on the type of flash used there you might be able to get nice pics even in low light, like using xeon gas flash.
xeroxxxxxxxxx, 02 Apr 2016You realize only in day time ? Night time jade video is shit .You obviously don't know what you're talking about.
I really hope its available to buy on April 6th as well, or at least a couple days after they announce it, it took to long for the LG G5 to be ready for to buy. I am possibly gonna get the Gold and Black color one or if they have it in all black then that's the one I'm getting.
MarcoK., 02 Apr 2016It can be combined to be one more stop, so it's more like 1.5 aperture. But still aperture has... moreYeah but still a big plus for lowlight shots with that aperture size. But lets see how the calibration of thier software can do but i bet even the dual pixel flagship of samsung will fall to his knees on this one.
