I also own a Vivo X5 Max.
RishiGuru, 05 Apr 2016Vivo is the pioneer of HiFi oriented smartphones. Period. They were the king in the audio depa... moreThanks for your honest opinion. I have considered v3max because Lenovo Vibe X3 is sold for RM1899 (USD 487 = INR 32,400) in Malaysia. Honestly I dont know how/where Lenovo M'sia got this stupid pricing from. Its like they are digging their own grave with this kind of price.
Knowing that v3max have an inferior audio setting than Vibe X3 makes me think again. Looking at all this mess makes me want to just buy Xiaomi Note 3 and be done with it. No hifi sound but at least they have good spec at a cheap & reasonable price.
Damn it Lenovo Malaysia why are you sooo retarded???
Anonymous, 05 Apr 2016so what nobody gonna buy this overpriced crapI won't, don't know about others.
Very nice

Same goes to Oppo as they both are owned by BBK Electronics of China. They are projecting themselves as premium brands and selling phones with identical hardware at twice the price of their Chinese sisters Xiaomi/ LeEco/ Lenovo. They want to be Samsung and Apple in a day with similar pricing strategy. The truth is it will take them decades to reach the levels of those giants and provide the same amount of after sales support these giants are capable of. That too with concerted efforts and not this type of burn a hole in your customer pocket type of marketing strategy.
They are a small company and by burning all the cash in marketing to create the country wide hype they are left with no cash for R&D. Take the example of any flagship device they have released in India. They are starved of any android version upgrades as there is no money left for them to spend to perform the upgrade after spending US $15 million (INR 100 crore) in title sponsorship of Indian Premier League (IPL) in our country. All smartphone companies have marketing budgets, but there should be a delicate balance between that and R&D budget. It seems Vivo & Oppo is all set for glory in a day and spending all they have in gimmicky marketing leaves their existing customers like me very unhappy with no software support and unjustified pricing.

Yes, I'm agree with you, it's pretty confusing why they never provide their os upgrades not even for their flagship, maybe bcause they spend too much in marketing and such.. so there's no budget left to funding their software R&D
RishiGuru, 07 Apr 2016Unfortunately no back-lit keys can be found in any Vivo smartphones. ah i see, thanks anyway.
