raky_b, 12 Apr 2016and price?
still as Apple's and Sammy's or they smarten up little, and went more competitive.... moreSame equipped at half the price? I'm calling BS on that one.
What phone specifically has an 820 with 4GB RAM at half the price
AnonD-9000, 12 Apr 2016did i just see macs behind him?...nvm.. :)The backside design is same as their original HTC one 2013 model. And the current design is similar to HTC A9., Since iPhone copied HTC design language it feels like iPhone.., HTC maintains their originality.
The front side did look similar to Samsung design in the rumors, but in the official release it looks little different.
raky_b, 12 Apr 2016 i totally agree, as good as it is, i don't see a reason to buy it...not better than others an... moreFunny though HTC spend virtually nothing on advertising and their devices STILL are ridiculously expensive :-(
They price themselves out o/t market. Anyway with the latest 2016 tax-increases in my country I can't spend any money on a new high end phone anyway. I've got other priorities now that are more urgent. So... :-(
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2016WTF: 700 usd in US, 580 GBP (830 USD) in UK, 799 EUR (913 USD) in Denmark.Yeah, it looks like its gonna be a Xiaomi Mi5 for me instead of these. Only if I can discover if its LTE bands are usable in Europe though...
Otherwise I'll just stick to my Galaxy S5 for another year. It's fast enough to text and call anyway.
Just a pity that Google's Material Design is so fucking ugly :-(
No shadows to distinguish the top icons and widgets from a (busy) background, pale garish colours, it's just plain ugly.
But sure it'll be fast. Simple colour schemes and flat mono-colour icons make things fast and use less system-memory. So obviously people whom like that will definitely like it. I don't. I cringe at these ugly icons and wastage of gpu-power to drive more screen-pixels instead of enhancing an UI with shadows, lightning effects and textures. Which is weird since GPU developers spend ages to create faster texture mapping engines, better rasterization techniques etc.. It's exactly like Windows 8/10. They make it all look like stuff from the 80's with simple colour schemes and mono-colour icons.
Next big thing will be heavy pixelized bitmap icons (wasting even more o/t hi-res screens we have today) not realizing that some of us have already seen it all before and don't want to go back to those drab UI's from years gone by.
Then there's the absolute LOSS of frames per second in games AND VIDEO! In fact can someone explain to me what the use is of videorecording 4K video's at 30fps while our displays can only playback at 18fps, DOH!
Bro isn't it 2-Axis optical image stabiliser already introduced in the M7 so what's big deal you reintroduce it back on the HTC10?
quite nice design/aesthetics. much better than the ugly G5 (my opinion). they could have restrained themselves from copying the SGS line's buttons though =))
WTF: 700 usd in US, 580 GBP (830 USD) in UK, 799 EUR (913 USD) in Denmark.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2016I'm sure it's a nice device, i'm just not sure the 10s of millions people out there would know... more i totally agree, as good as it is, i don't see a reason to buy it...not better than others and nothing that would make me buy it before LG G5, Xperia X, or Xiaomi, with same HW...
and even thoug they do not have marketing as good as Sammy and Apple, still, they do try to sell devices for a same, premium, price (even though two of above uses 30% of devices's total price just for marketing).
better solution for them would be if they don't spend anything for marketing and instead go with 200 smaller prices.
i think if they, soon after they realice that sale won't be good as expected, don't do some changes on price, this is last flagship from HTC...no future for them
Lots of criticism, and over the most ridiculous things!
Great looking phone, awesome features. I have had the One (M7) for 2.5 years and have been following this for 6 months. Very exciting.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2016"best camera we have ever produce" lol. I thought best camera ever, not they ever produce. Even apple say the best iPhone we have ever created
everyone saying its the best or its the worst are just mad kidos. You cant say anything about it yet aside from its look, just yet.
AnonD-525379, 12 Apr 2016All these designers couldn't center the home button? FailIt is placed there for ergonomic reasons and not esthetics
