Its a shame... these phones couldnt even make it with a strong marketing campaign. waste of time. too many players in the game. why would i want to buy an emblaze over an iphone or N-series? maybe if it was free, i would consider. its a smaart move.

I really hope the UI does not go to waste. Really praying for the more established giants like Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Motorola or SonyEricsson buys off the hardware and the UI and uses it.

I would surely buy the phone if it gets released via any of the giants regardless of who implements it.

It was a very good product, but launched into a crowded market by a company with insufficient resources to make a difference. They're not along - Palm couldn't save itself even with the Pre and a massive marketing campaign, Microsoft have basically killed off the KIN range of phones after only a few weeks and Windows Mobile has been tanking anwyay. The only other major player that I can think of that uses LiMo at the moment is Samsung and I can't see this fitting into their product range.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2010How do you make profit without selling anything? Or do they manufactor some other products. ... moreApple was no small company. They have been in the computer industry with Microsoft since computers were first invented. They weren't as popular as Microsoft so they were less known.

Man this was one hell of a UI. It looks great but probably would not have survived without enough developers, and since everyone is hooked to android/iphone now the smartphone OS market just might be oversaturated (at least in the US)

Who would have thought a show-room prototype would never reach shops...
Oh, wait, I remember a similar product, it was called Nvidia Tegra and was shown in 2007. I hear it will be reaching the market somewhere in 2010-2011... hope it won't follow ELSE...

How do you make profit without selling anything?
Or do they manufactor some other products.
Just cutting of a part of a company that bleeds money, wont help, if you dont have an income somewhere else... sometimes you have to stay in there, and get the product on the market, to start making money.
But on the other hand, I didnt fell much for this product, I wont be missing it. Sure they had a somewhat cool interface, but the hardware would have been left behind competitors... and a small company like this could have never pulled that of, Apple did, but with ther relations with media, and their brand recognition, they could.
Emblaze would have had to make a superproduct in all categories, to get the attention needed.

They are playing the same old advertising game like apple did to attract(full) costumers in to that device.

Sad...
I liked the UI and the phone design, but don't know if I would buy it (gotta check it out live first).
Oh well... guess never gonna happen...
And FYI if there are more smartphones on the market the better for consumers because of price drops. There current smartphone pricess are killing me!
I live in Slovenia - EU.
