the audio side of the x10 must be worked on. its crazy to have a phone that had so much publicity yet has a poor sound quality and no equalizer settings. it's poor of sony ericsson.

This is what i notice so far with the new update:
                      -No data wipe(thanks to OTA)

                      -Pin screen with UX skin

-Transitions between screens much softer(ie. from the desktop to an app like timescape or navigating trhought setup options), instead of suddently changing the screen it does a FADE animation

-Much faster and better unlock button.

                      -More fluid timescape.

                      -Themes added to timescape.

                      -Buttons changed in timescape.

                      -Faster multimedia galleries in mediascape.

-More speed while navigating between photos and images, with a sliding animation instead of the loading circle.

-Mediascape player has better animations and effects, Ie. when you turn up the volume.

-Better face recognition, faces no longer dissapear, now instead of showing “unknown” tag it shows [+]

-Speaker and headphones volume in mediascape seems the same.

-Cámera loading and interface is faster.

-Faster widget/shorcut/etc menu, no more lag(the one that appears when pressing the screen for a few seconds)

                      -Better system perfomance and speed.

                      -Backup and restore app added.

                      -Improved touchscreen

-Fixed keyboard problems with bad touch, no more As, Qs , Ps that doesn’t appear when we type.

-It seems that the resolution has been upgraded, everything seems a little bit sharper than before.

-Battery seems better, almost no battery loss in stand by mode:

                      http://i46.tinypic.com/m7vtra.jpg

and with 17 hours of usage, with 4 calls, 2 sms, 15 minutes of navigation with opera, some mediascape gallery browsing and 2 photos i still have 88% battery left:

                      http://i45.tinypic.com/25owc9d.jpg

                      -Little improve on incall volume.

YEsterday I got the update OTA, and it is a big improvement in terms of usability. Although its on 1.6 but SE has done a great job in improving it. I never felt the need for 2.1

Android is biased. They want to make the SE X10 a loser phone by cutting off the updates and improvements and make the HTC phones looks nice but shabby.
The 2.0 update is enough for the X10.

2.2 on the Nexus One is already awesome. And it was a huge update for usability.

I can't imagine being a whole year behind on a phone. That's half of most people's contracts and the useful life of a phone.

SE really dropped the ball here.
