Just so you know.... so it's possible.

deep space bar, 07 Jul 2010i think it's variation of the N8-00 and if this is the new Eseries model it should atleast ... moreIt wont be an N Series as Nokia as already stated the N8 will be the only Symbian^3 devices in the N-Series, the next ones will be Meego and Symbian^4. This is clearly running Symbian^3 and tied with Nokia's statement means this wont be an N Series device. It will be C or E Series.

i am tired to hear continuos complains on how 'tired' symbian is. From a programmers point of view, any firmware can be programmed to do execute anything that any other firmware does. even s60 UI can be programmed to give it a feel similar to iphone app or android

Nokia will never adopt Android (atleast for 2 years). Adopting Android means throwing the hard work behind symbian^3, symbian^4, Meego, qt in a dustbin. Nokia is making Meego as a Alternative of Android. We all know how powerful Meamo was, so if you wants Android, you will always find a option for dual boot with Android. So dont worry Nokia Meego device will have ability for dual boot same as N900.

Nokia is losing out, 06 Jul 2010let's face it...it's an apps world today! If Nokia's not gonna adopt android, I do not think t... moreI can assure you nokia would most definitely never release an android device. Don't expect too much from s^3 in terms of ui but s^4 would most definitely blow the competition away. Its gonna be android vs symbian^4 while meego sits ontop and watches.

I can assure you that when s^4 is out, most symbian exs who left to the android os would come running right back. Once a symbian user, always a symbian user.

Obviously, nokia have realized that they are lost in the app race. Angry birds is just a flash. Before the release of the nokia n8 there would be hundreds of games and apps for symbian^3 on the ovi store and the number would only increase geometrically with most of them free.

I still use a nokia n95 8gb and i can tell you for sure there is no shortage of apps. The problem is actually collecting the apps to a single place. The ovi store. I, personally have never downloaded an app from the ovistore. They are all over the place. Most symbian developers exploit the unmatched freedom the symbian os gives by selling their apps elsewhere. Means you have to google for whatever app you need. The changes nokia has made to the app submition process ought to make things right.

and if this is the new Eseries model it should atleast have a different homescreen or something else that would make it define it being an Eseries model

                  cause look the N900
                  it's an Nseries device

                  and it comes with keyboard
so other then the new keyboard set up and the 4'touchscreen

something new has to be added

deep space bar, 06 Jul 2010why do they keep saying it's the N9.........blame Negri Electronics. They saw the keyboard and the big screen and immediately said it was the N9. It really isn't, as the no more N series will run S^3-4.

People have been saying what if this is the N8-01, then remember that if it is the case, it is a variant of the N8, so it doesn't fall under jurisdiction of the Meego device-name change.

Also consider that it might be the E7, as it's relation to the E75.

No, Nokia will not adopt Android, but MeeGo (which I personally think is better).
But for now I will stick with Android.
