darthroy, 11 May 2016Nice try but I was on the internet at that point so you already know I hear that haha.

Jon will sit on the iron throne and Cersei will turn into the next mad king(ah..queen) after tommen's death. It's also hinted.
Grey1213, 02 May 2016Less bezels is an good thing, you'd have to be a real fanboy to act like it isn't. Being so th... moreNo. Less bezels isn't good when your'e trying to grip the phone and you keep touching the screen...
Thinness isn't good when it constantly slips out of your hands since you can't properly "palm" the phone.
The 10 isn't even thick! .35 inches, the S7 is .29... "Wow so thick! I can barely hold it!" Just no.
The 7 edge is uncomfortable to hold for me. The curved edges on the back help but it still feels too thin. The 10 feels great to me (used it in a verizon store)
I can say with confidence, 90% of people use the screen as it comes out the box, in adaptive mode, which is not even close to accurate. Second, no one has even tested the 10 screen so you don't know any measurements except brightness which I give to the S7.
Its not a wash as you might want it to be.
The cameras are very similar.
A fanboy would get the S7 or the 10 without even considering or really looking into another phone. I've looked at both and I prefer the 10.
Lord Petyr Techwiz, 11 May 2016Jon gets resurrected.
It's in season 6 which is based on the unreleased WoW.Nice try but I was on the internet at that point so you already know I hear that haha.
I started to hate Jon in the books anyway after he got with the wildling girl (Margret? Ingrid?)
Lord Petyr Techwiz, 02 May 2016But, but.......Infinite contrast, more vivid yet realistic color and battery efficiency. Not t... moreWell, my issue with people claiming "best display" because of displaymate is the fact that they test it in srgb/basic mode and most people don't even know the screen changes modes and many of those that do, leave it in adaptive which is completely inaccurate anyway. Those people are just getting wildly over saturated colors. At that point point, it becomes preference. Don't get me wrong, the s7 looks nice enough (even more on the s7 edge) but the 10 isn't very much worse. Yep the amoled blacks are perfect of course but the 10 blacks are very very deep.
Lol, I know. I've read all the books but i've never seen the show really. You can't catch me with spoilers fool lol.

darthroy, 01 May 2016The Edge is bigger so it has a bigger battery
The sound is better than all other htc devices ... moreI dont need review , I own HTC M8 and Samsung Note 4 and what you said is totaly wrong.
I am buying S7 Edge for this year soon.
gyankovski, 01 May 2016S7 no IR blaster and fm radio - why is it so expensive? So it becomes an alternative to s7 and not a copy. LG kept these features for this reason, HTC is struggling! Incidentally, T moboile has just updated s7 to include FM radio!
I think comparing LCD to AMOLED is only caused here by die-hard proponents of phones who happen to have LCD displays. OLED is the better tech, end of story, and phones have LCDs because it's the mature technology dominating almost all logistics chains and bulk deals. It's same as there were proponents of CRTs when LCDS came out.
Read any review and how wanted the OLED displays are by people who have much more knowledge under their belts, see modern OLEDs, educate yourself, then come back.
Saturation? On the S6 the display seemed not vivid enough to me already, because of Samsung dropping "punchy" in favor of perfectly accurate calibration.
Now going back to the topic at hand, the top engineers of HTC 10 left in favor of other Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, who invest more into R&D and quality control these days than HTC. HTC continues to charge premium because they sell less devices. It's fine if you like HTC phones, but these days the devices are of lower class than Xiaomi flagships, more on par with Huaweii flagships, which even with Huaweii's insanely high profit margins are still significantly cheaper due to economy of scale. In short, get a HTC only if you really want that phone. Just be aware that there's nothing premium about how HTC makes the phones these days compared to other Chinese/Taiwanese heavy-weights.
Grey1213, 02 May 2016You can make the display less saturated in the display settings. And it doesn't damage the eye... moreYou need not get it from anywhere if you are a real user and have an samoled display. If you think I am the only one, search in google, "amoled display eye strain" you will see many "real users" complaining on that. There are two things:
1. High contrast and vibrant makes your eyes strain, even you change in settings
2. its a killer for eyes while staring at the screen in dark., there are many researches, pls google.
As a sample discussion in reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/tablets/comments/3ub86x/do_amoled_displays_cause_more_eye_strain_than_lcd/
Whatever the fact maybe, samsung already sold many phones and there will be foolish followers to support the wrong technology and can't accept the truth. But I want to change for myself, waiting for IPhone 7 to have OLED, if not HTC 10
Grey1213, 02 May 2016Samoled doesn't have burn in and has a much longer life span than normal amoled. Vr isn't that... morewhat an uninformed know it all u r do u know anything accurate about samoled the nonsense u r spouting is unbelievable 1st samoled have setting for accurate colour reproduction 2nd why is apple changing from lcd to samoled 3rd for burn in all you have too do is not have the screen brightness up at 100% all of the time and it will last for over five years without issue seriously have a word with yourself and stop speaking rubbish

Today's best screen are the samoled on S7.. It has the most accurate color reproduction and it can dim until 2.7 nits which is probably the black(grey) color on every other lcd.. Go and read the review
swirly, 02 May 2016SAMOLED does have burn-in actually. Go to your nearest electronic store. Those Galaxys' screen... moreYou never had a s-amoled apparently.. Those burn-in are curable by simply turning the device off for a while(for a bad burn-in).. slight burn can be cured by just turning the screen off and on
rocker90, 01 May 2016Other than water resistance I don't find s7 having any advantage over 10.as an audiophile I'll... moreI'd have picked 10 over s7 if it had water resistance. But only thing I was considering 10 was metal body, rather than glass.
Very good poll. Because even I appreciated the 10 in last week poll, I am not getting it. Actually it is impossible to convince someone who wants to buy a top tier android phone not to get s7. At almost same size as s7 edge, I'm sure it will have much less battery life and lack of waterproofing.
Fitbri, 02 May 2016HTC just feels a better build / solid quality. My 2 cents and doesn't have touch wizI agree, I like the feel of M8, the amber gold color and sense UI.
but honestly the camera card was strong and Samsung played it well! especially the video recording.
liking the feel of a phone is something that will fade away after a while, but camera and overall performance is something that will satisfy a consumer every time being used.
but after all it's personal preference!
I have Xperia Z and my friend has Galaxy S3. Whenever I play on his phone, my eyes hurt. The contrast and the saturation is so high.
On my phone i always have the display brightness set to lowest.
So you have to choose: blacker blacks or good eye vision. I choose healty eyes over blacker blacks.
Grey1213, 02 May 2016Samoled doesn't have burn in and has a much longer life span than normal amoled. Vr isn't that... moreSAMOLED does have burn-in actually. Go to your nearest electronic store. Those Galaxys' screens are dying. VR not being popular has nothing to do with me. My previous comment was about why I prefer LCD over AMOLED. I wasn't talking for the masses; I was talking for myself.
"Is it really worth not having the pros of samoled?"
Yes, IMHO. The AMOLED efficiency is top notch I agree, but TBH, I don't really care about the infinite contrast. The blacks on an LCD look just fine to me. Plus, Android has more whites in its UI, anyways. An LCD can also be just as accurate as an AMOLED.
Let us all just agree to disagree! :)
