It's simple, really.
If you really want to get the pure Android experiences, get a Nexus phone.
But, if you are on a budget, get the Android One phone.

People commenting about android one phones needing to have great chips, great cameras, great displays and 3-4gb of ram... C'mon, android one is a program to make busget phones so everyone will have access to them. You can't expect a high end phone for 80 dollars.

If they did that , It would completely lose it's main purpose , also that would basically just be like making a Nexus

And Probably you know that there's a Android one phone called GM5 plus with Snapdragon 617 and priced at $300 with really nice features..
Google can separate Nexus series for high end and mid end and Android one for low end and mid-end..that'll be great..

Moto of android one project is:
"Android for all"
Then there must be complete range of android one phones starting from 50 dollars to 300 dollars. For example 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 dollars android one smartphones. Then android one will available with almost all specifications for all.
